The demand from fans is clear and supports the Falcons’ case for undertaking the project about 16 months ago. Content consumption is different than it’s ever been before and we’re seeing that in the live events space.” Zulawski didn’t reveal the deal’s financial details or the naming rights’ value, but he said that none of the other founding partners’ deals are shorter than a decade in duration.

The Falcons will be one of the first NFL franchises to have a naming rights partner for the new digital production facility prior to construction completion. "Ticketmaster was an obvious choice to be our partner in the new digital facility," says Tim Zulawski, chief revenue officer, AMBSE. As demand for digital content continues to increase year over year, this new facility is a strategic investment that now positions the organization for all current needs as well as future growth in content development and delivery.

After two joint practices in New York, Marcus Mariota, Desmond Ridder, Tyler Allgeier and Ade Ogundeji stand out on Monday night.

And 2) we need as many evaluations of the depth of the defensive interior as we can get. However, Allgeier got a lot more work with Mariota and the rest of the first team offense. The Falcons defense got a stop, though, and the second-team offense got the ball back with two minutes left in the half. Do the Falcons have the needed depth at this position to lead them into the regular season? Grady Jarrett was held back on Monday night after two productive days of work during the Falcons and Jets joint practices earlier in the week. Penalties rained down on the Falcons offense in the second quarter. Offensive holdings and an illegal shift kept the Falcons out of the endzone, and they settled for a short field goal from Younghoe Koo to end the half. Ogundeji was called for a roughing the passer call as he fell forward into Mike White's legs on third down. In the second drive, Mariota did something similar with a pass to Anthony Firkser that went for a 39-yard pick up. -- After two joint practices earlier in the week, the Falcons and Jets faced off on Monday night. Desmond Ridder entered the game and appeared to pick up where Mariota left off. Mariota led one more drive, which led to a three-and-out. The Mike White-led New York Jets enter halftime against the Atlanta Falcons in their second preseason game.

Yardage has been hard to come by (Wilson earned only 15) but his hands managed to put on a strong showcase on New York’s fruitless second drive. The Jets obviously put more merit into their physical joint practices with the Falcons rather than the exhibition game that wrapped up Atlanta’s visit. Garrett Wilson was the closest thing the Jets had to an offensive playmaker in the first half, catching all three of his targets.

Atlanta Falcons: Stop worrying about Feleipe Franks' passing ... (Blogging Dirty)

The Atlanta Falcons took the field for their second preseason game and played well until Feleipe Franks entered, but here is why you shouldn't be worried.

Not to mention, Franks played tight end for basically all of training camp, he never had the chance to settle in as a quarterback. He will be used as a running quarterback first, and foremost. Everything would lead you to believe that the Falcons plan on using him as a quarterback, and if you watched how he performed throwing the ball, At most during the regular season, he will throw a few passes. The Falcons see he has arm talent but he would not be on the roster right now if that was all they saw in him. Feleipe Franks is a player that every Atlanta Falcons fan has been keeping an eye on ever since the beginning of training camp.

And he deserves that title now and to start the regular season. "I want to come prepared and ready to work hard every single day and improve as a player." Ridder played just three series on Monday night – he played three quarters in Detroit -- and moved the ball well. The expectations should remain high for player and coach. Ridder is candid enough to identify the good and bad from these preseason learning experiences, promising to continue to grow from them. Being able to go on to the next play is key." Overall, Ridder has made real and steady progress working with the Falcons coaching staff. That included a drive that went down to the 1-yard line twice, only to go backwards thanks to some ill-timed penalties and issues running the offense. "We kind of hurt ourselves there in the second quarter. Ridder was 10-for-13 passing against the Jets for 143 yards and a 112.0 passer rating. He had four drops in that game, and coaches told him to throw another pass away. "A lot of lessons learned, and I've got high expectations from Desmond," Smith said.

Falcons - Jets: 10 takeaways from Atlanta's second preseason game (The Falcoholic)

The team has to trim the roster down to 80 players by Tuesday afternoon, and the decisions aren't getting any easier. Let's take a look at the action that ...

Instead of methodically going through the litany of plays in the arsenal that he may want to run at some point in the year, Smith called plays like he would in a real game and his players executed. Tabor should probably be considered on the outside looking in, but plays like that help him make the case to nab one of the final roster spots. This allowed Lawrence Cager to come wide open across the middle and race into the end zone untouched for the Jets’ first touchdown. His first drive was very up and down, and Franks was far more dangerous as a runner than he was as a passer. It ruined a great opportunity for the Falcons to put together a first half they could feel really good about. He had Atlanta in position to score a touchdown on a fourth-and-goal from the 1-yard, but a false start penalty knocked them into a field goal try (and ultimately, conversion). Well, on the first play, a miscommunication between Ridder and Frank Darby resulted in an intentional grounding call. Atlanta continued to move the ball as well as it had with Mariota behind center, but penalties became a far greater problem once the starters exited the game. He made smart reads, protected the ball well and used his legs to buy time in the pocket. His best throw of the drive, however, came on a third-and-9 from the Jets’ 13-yard line. He hit KhaDarel Hodge for a 13-yard pickup on the second play, and then found a wide-open Anthony Firkser for 39 yards on the next snap. In that sense, this game should be taken as a step in the right direction, even if the end result wasn’t in the Falcons’ favor.

Why Desmond Ridder, Marcus Mariota Can Elevate Falcons Offense (Sports Illustrated)

Atlanta Falcons second-year head coach Arthur Smith arrived with the reputation of being one of the up-and-coming offensive geniuses around the NFL but ...

The presence of Mariota and Ridder simply unlocks an element that wasn't there last year. Smith's playbook looks like it's been opened up, in large part due to how seamlessly Ridder and Mariota can operate the offense. Preseason isn't the end-all be-all. The two simply weren't ideal fits for each other. The offseason netted him several new faces, with receivers Drake London and Bryan Edwards poised to give Pitts' support, but also saw the loss of Gage and year-long suspension of Ridley. Ridder's anticipation, ball placement and processing coverage stood out all night, picking apart the Jets' zone defense at will.

The Jets square off against their MetLife Stadium brethren, the New York Giants, in their final preseason game of the 2022 season. He dove and got enough of Franks' legs to get the quarterback to the ground, where his attempt to brace his fall with the football resulted in a fumble. The Falcons host the Jacksonville Jaguars in their final preseason contest. It began with a drive late in the first half, on which Denzel Mims made the big play to get the team into field goal range. Atlanta had one last chance to tie the game toward the end of the fourth quarter, but Felipe Franks' pass sailed over the head of tight end Anthony Firkser and went out of bounds. Streveler picks up a first down on a scramble and it looks like the Jets will take this one.

Atlanta Falcons: Desmond Ridder is continuing to show why he is ... (NFL Mocks)

The Atlanta Falcons brought in Marcus Mariota to serve as the starting quarterback in 2022, but rookie Desmond Ridder is exerting pressure on the veteran.

He has his fair share of critics that still believe the quarterback peaked in college and that he lacks the accuracy to survive in this league. The Atlanta Falcons will be looking to Ridder to spearhead the next era of football for the franchise. Now, he arrives to a Falcons team that somehow won seven games in 2021, due in large part to the steady leadership of former quarterback Matt Ryan. Ridder stayed in the pocket more in this game, failing to record a single rush during his time on the field. The same can be said about his accuracy, as he sometimes struggles to put the ball in a spot where his pass catchers can add yards after the catch. Although Ridder is advanced in maturity off the field, he still has a lot to learn when it comes to the game speed of the NFL. He used this to showcase the growth he’s made in the pocket since his time in college. A trait that Ridder unanimously passes in the eyes of scouts is his natural ability to lead a group. Marcus Mariota is looking to revive his career in Atlanta, teaming up with a former coach of his in Tennessee, In an article, shared by a Senior Writer for ESPN by the name of Peter Thamel, Ridder expresses his pure joy about being a girl dad: From the moment Ridder was taken, he has vowed to make every team in the league pay for passing on him. For example, Justin Fields is a more fluid mover, but he ran a 4.44 40-yard dash, showing that Ridder is up there with the best of athletes.

Falcons Rookie QB Desmond Ridder Impresses With 'Great ... (Sports Illustrated)

Desmond Ridder once again showed that the lights aren't too bright, and the stage isn't too big in the NFL.

It felt like everyone was looking forward to seeing Ridder come back out in the second half, however, the night was over for the rookie. Feleipe Franks replaced Ridder in the second half. In fact, his first play was a perfectly executed screen to tight end MyCole Pruitt for an 18-yard gain, followed two plays later with a 17-yard gain to Anthony Firkser. These guys have played fast, they made good decisions, and they've thrown the football with great accuracy. Sure, Ridder still has a lot to learn and needs more reps, but his pocket presence Monday night was outstanding. He completed 7-of-7 passes for 68 yards on that drive.

He had an uphill battle to earn a spot in a competitive position group. Allison was signed after try out at the team's rookie minicamp and had flashed as a playmaker. He started Monday night's preseason game against the Jets – Grady Jarrett didn't play – and had a tackle for loss over 16 defensive snaps.

Falcons Trim Roster to 80, Announce 5 Cuts: Who's Gone? (Sports Illustrated)

A pair of notable receivers and a defensive lineman who started against the Jets are no longer on the roster.

Pitts, who has no relation to Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts, spent half of last season on the Falcons' practice squad. Deng, a rarely built linebacker at 6-6, 240 pounds, signed with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Cal. [Atlanta Falcons](https://www.si.com/nfl/falcons/news/atlanta-mock-draft-jalen-carter-georgia-bulldogs-robert-scott-desmond-ridder) had big roster decisions to make in a short amount of time, following a quick turnaround from playing in Monday night's [preseason game against the New York Jets](https://www.si.com/nfl/falcons/news/atlanta-new-york-jets-preseason-final-score-game-recap-marcus-mariota-kyle-pitts). However, the fact that neither panned out is a disappointing development for a Falcons offense still in need of depth at receiver. Once looking like the biggest "arrow-up" player in Atlanta's receiver room, Allison's stock took a nosedive as preseason games began. Considering he was viewed as a potential starter when Atlanta initially signed him, Tate's experienced quite the downfall.

How did NY Jets' rookies perform vs. Atlanta Falcons? (Jets X-Factor)

Some New York Jets rookies showcased remarkable potential against Atlanta, but others endured quiet nights.

However, his pass rushing was much quieter than the previous game as he had one pressure over 19 pass rush snaps. He started the game at right tackle and played 25 snaps. Mitchell earned a 49.9 overall grade at Pro Football Focus as he struggled in both phases. As a run-blocker, I thought Ruckert was up and down after watching his film. He caught his only target for 4 yards. DC Jeff Ulbrich on Jermaine Johnson, said he’s “starting to get it”. Over 19 defensive snaps (14 pass rush / 5 run defense), he had one tackle and one pressure. At the beginning of August, head coach Robert Saleh said Johnson “[has] got a long way to go, but we like where he’s at.” Johnson was frequently stalled on the edge in the passing game as it appeared he sometimes lacked a decisive plan of attack. Many NFL cornerbacks would have sunk hard on the flat receiver in search of a big hit, leaving the corner route open for a touchdown. [Sauce Gardner](https://jetsxfactor.com/tag/sauce-gardner) was silent – in a good way – for the second consecutive game. All seven draft picks appeared in the game – experiencing varying degrees of success.

Not that the Jets want anything to happen to starting middle linebacker C.J. The Jets’ ongoing battle to see who would start opposite DJ Reed may have come to a head on Monday. New York can always use as much help as they can get behind Carl Lawson and John Franklin-Meyers and on Monday, Anae showed he has some potential to be a solid rotational edge-rusher for the Jets. Anae pressured Falcons QB Marcus Mariota early in the game and played solid all night. Monday’s preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons was definitely a tale of two halves for the New York Jets. However, the South Carolina native failed to separate himself from offseason signing Bryan Edwards, wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus, and rookie Drake London.

Tate was cleared to practice in the postseason but didn't record any statistics during the Bengals' run to the super bowl. Atlanta signed Tate to a one-year deal in March after his rookie deal with the Cincinnati Bengals expired.
