Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore. She was joined by Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán, who play Morticia and Gomez, and Isaac Ordonez who plays her brother Pugsley. Christina Ricci, who played Wednesday in the ’90s film series, appears as a new character in the reimagining. The streaming service shared a black and white photo on social media that features the main characters created by cartoonist Charles Addams. Cast also includes Victor Dorobantu, George Burcea plays servant Lurch. I think I’m going to love it here.”

Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán take on the roles of Morticia and Gomez Addams in the Netflix series.

“He had a lot of questions about the previous television work we’d done, like how we were able to achieve it. “He wanted the silhouette to look more like the Charles Addams cartoons, which is Gomez shorter than Morticia, versus the kind of suave Raul Julia version in the movies,” Gough says. “He’s also incredibly debonair and romantic, and I think he has all those classic ingredients of the Gomez that has come before, but he brings something also very different and new,” Millar adds. That was very important to us and very important to Tim.” Tim Burton is an executive producer and directed four of the eight episodes, helping to shape the overall look of the series. Perhaps the weirdest thing about the show, which will debut this fall, is that he hasn’t made an Addams Family project sooner.

For the fourth consecutive year, the Pickleville Playhouse will stage The Addams Family as its Halloween show. The Pickleville Playhouse previously performed The Addams Family as its Halloween show in 2019, 2020 (despite COVID-19 concerns) and 2021. 1, 8, 15 and 22. and 7:30 p.m. 30 and run throughout the month of October. Rounding out the cast will be Sharli Davis King and Chelsea Davis Haynie as dancing Addams ancestors.
