Are We Getting 'Westworld' Season 5, Or Was That Supposed To Be ... (Forbes)

Spoilers follow. At this point, the show has murdered…almost all of its cast. By the end of season 4, Bernard, Maeve, William, Charlotte, Stubbs, Clementine and ...

On the other, HBO probably does not want to leave one of their most prestigious stories unfinished, even if technically you could interpret season 4’s ending as a series finale. That would lead to a season 5 that is a modified version of season 1. On the one hand, WB has been making pretty huge cutbacks, and these days, Westworld is a very expensive show with declining viewership, even if this season was better. So that seems pretty definitive, even if HBO has not officially announced season 5 yet. In some ways, this does work as a series finale, because you can take the position that Westworld is a flat circle. By the end of season 4, Bernard, Maeve, William, Charlotte, Stubbs, Clementine and probably Caleb are all dead.

Ed Harris certainly seems to think that the next season of 'Westworld' will end the HBO series. Here's everything we know so far.

If you have seen the finale—and this isn't a spoiler to say—you know that a road to the end of the series has definitely presented itself. We need to know when our cybernetic gods will end our fresh hell, as much as we love to hate it, and hate to love it. You're surely on this page because Westworld dropped its Season Four finale this Sunday night, the ramifications of which we are not prepared to discuss.

This appears to confirm that host William also won't be back because Charlotte also destroyed his orb. When asked about the characters who died in Season 4, Joy added: "There are ways of conjuring characters back. A version of William could still be brought back by Dolores in some way, though.

Or will there be a Westworld Season 5? Will there be a Westworld Season 5? Westworld isn’t streaming on Netflix. Westworld is an HBO original, and as such, you can only watch it on HBO or HBO Max. If HBO does renew Westworld for a fifth season, the earliest we could expect to see it is probably two years in the future. A new version of the original Westworld park where Dolores’s memories of people will try one last time to get it right. Westworld star Ed Harris confirmed that was the plan in a Hollywood Reporter interview for Season 4, saying, “We have one more season, which will start filming next April and May. I have no idea where that’s going to end up.”

Westworld season 5: When could renewal be announced? (CarterMatt)

After the events of last night's season 4 finale, it feels like a foregone conclusion that people would want a Westworld season 5.

Our thinking is that within the next month, it would be wise for HBO to go ahead and give the show a green light, largely so that they can begin work mapping out the future. We are personally of the belief that they would like to see this story through, but there may be some things that are still standing in the way. HBO has yet to announce anything in regards to the future, but we know that Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy have a little more story to tell.

Westworld Season 5 Release Date, Plot, Cast, Trailer And ... (The Current)

The fourth season of Westworld ended with deaths, violence, and revelations for some of the main characters.

The popularity of Westworld Season 4 increases the likelihood that there will be a Westworld Season 5. We anticipate that Westworld will have another season even though the show’s creators have a plan for how it will conclude. The series may potentially have up to six seasons, according to earlier reports, but the season 4 finale does seem to be setting for a huge climax. The fourth season of the finest board has had its share of ups and downs. The following season will debut in 2023, two years after the previous one, barring any unforeseen circumstances. The fifth season of Westworld has not yet released a trailer. However, based on the conclusion of Season 4 Episode 8, it appears like Westworld is returning to its roots, or more specifically, the western theme park where it all began. We are anticipating the trailer as much as we are season five, which we hope will have a lot more riddles to solve. They won’t lose interest in the show any faster as a result of this choice. “Jonah (Nolan) and I have always had the desired conclusion in mind. Dolores “reset” the world in the Season 4 finale, bringing the old park (and possibly certain characters) back to life. Since HBO decided not to order a fifth season of Westworld, nothing is known about its prospective storyline.

Co-creator Lisa Joy confirmed that Westworld is nearing its end on HBO.

Just to close up a lot of the stuff that we’ve seen before like the flashforward with The Man in Black and everything, so we have a plan for Season 5 but you know, life can make other plans for you. She’s seen a lot of human nature, and maybe enough to know how to structure something or give a game in which some kind of hope for it might emerge.” A cliffhanger that does, in fact, set up the end of the series.
