The final season has begun! Our review of Chesapeake Shores Season 6 Episode 1 digs into the current storylines as we near happy endings...
Now, with his dad stealing everything and going on the run, it's so disappointing that I just want it to end. But it led to the fact that Evan and Abby are going to make a go of it. What did you think of the premiere? It's beautiful that he knows himself well enough to take things slow so that they share a deep bond before getting physical. People sometimes launch themselves so quickly into sex that they forget how tantalizing the journey can be. That's so rare anymore, and it's a shame. It's been a very big deal having Megan home and a part of the family again. It's not easy to become a part of a family, let alone one with seven strong women. Mick's fanciful flight that led to his injury was only a few days ago Chesapeake Shores time, so it seems a little early for him to be reliant on painkillers. Now, his father has proven to be an unremarkable human being with no morals. It's not easy to stay bright when life gets you down, but having your life is a gift itself. Connor had a frightening medical scare, but he sees it as a good thing because if he'd continued on the same trajectory, he could have died.

We review the final ever premiere for Hallmark's Chesapeake Shores and while its a good one the pacing is just off.
Finding out that Evan was the guy that Abby called was completely expected but again, like with Bree and Luke, it just feels like the relationship went from 0 to 100 in 40 minutes. Bree and Luke’s relationship added to a bit of the unsettled feeling in the episode. The way she discusses her feelings towards Luke seems to be reminiscent of season five and less of a development. This is set up really well in the first episode as we get introduced to the FBI agent dealing with the investigation. Which is very quick even for Chesapeake Shores standards and it left the show feeling unsettled in places. Chessies everywhere were heartbroken at the news they would have to say goodbye to a show that has made them laugh, cry and gasp in shock.
"Chesapeake Shores" is premiering the first episode of its 6th season on Sunday, Aug. 14 at 8 p.m. There are several ways to watch with a free live stream.
What TV shows does it have? Bree returns from England a smashing success professionally, and soon finds new options in her personal life when she reconnects with two very different men from her past (Stephen Huszar and Matthew Kevin Anderson). An opportunity for promotion opens up for Kevin ( Brendan Penny) and Sarah (Jessica Sipos) at the firehouse and has them reevaluating plans to start a family. Connor ( Andrew Francis) faces a dilemma at his new firm that threatens to pit him against his family and gets help from colleague Margaret (Raylene Harewood), a paralegal with whom he shares a special rapport. How much does it cost? This season, as Abby is processing the consequences of her kiss with on-and-off again ex-boyfriend Trace ( Jesse Metcalfe), she contemplates a future on her own terms and proves her mettle as her father Mick’s ( Treat Williams) new business partner. Fans found out what happened to Connor and whether Abby called Evan or Jay in the 'Chesapeake Shores' Season 6 premiere.
Then, he channels Liam Neeson and warns the younger man that if hurts his daughter, he’ll come for him. Abby – who just happens to have a formal gown tucked away in her closet, apparently – and Evan spend the day on his boat, with the later getting the chance to show off his impressive cooking skills. Evan pulls back at the last second, telling Abby he doesn’t want to rush things. His impulsive nature means his past relationships have flamed out quickly and he wants to avoid that with Abby. When he shows up at the hospital, he doesn’t realize Abby has called him. Of course, the big question for many Chesapeake Shores fans was whether Abby called Evan (Robert Buckley) or Jay (Greyston Holt) before Connor’s heart attack. But she seems completely unconcerned about taking on all the work at the firm while also preparing for the big test. He also gets a visit from an FBI agent, who makes it clear that if David gets any information on his father’s whereabouts, he needs to share it – or risk being named an accessory. He’ll also have Margaret (Mariesa Crouse, taking over the role from Raylene Harwood). He tries to give her an out, telling her that if she wants to call it quits, he’d understand. Chesapeake Shores Season 6 picks up immediately after the season 5 finale. Fortunately, season 6’s first episode – titled “The Best Is Yet to Come” – wasted little time in resolving those storylines and setting things up for the show’s final episodes. He’ll need to take time off to rest, which is a tall order for someone with his workaholic tendencies.

When it comes to his father and the FBI, is David ( Carlo Marks) torn in a significant way at all? He never had a great relationship with his dad, but at the same time, it is his dad. It’s really cool to have all these great actors and all these great characters that you can put through stuff and what is happening with them is so believable. And for a guy as strong and as independent as Mick, it becomes a serious problem for him to admit that he’s having a problem. And Margaret [Mariesa Crouse] will help him with that and they’ll become more partners and in a relationship, too. They both have trust issues and the past will come back to haunt him somewhat. [Laughs] They have a friendship before they have a romance and that is a really good way to start. He’s definitely a part of the family and I like that about him. There’s also the question of Connor’s health, and it sounds like his recovery is going to be slower than he probably wants. Yes. That’s part of his journey, his desire to get better and go right back to work will be an ongoing frustration for him. I love writing the show and I love these characters and I hope it’s not over. I thought about the yacht, and I thought, we can’t do a yacht, that would be crazy.

And maybe this won’t be the last time we see the O’Briens. “I love writing the show and I love these characters and I hope it’s not over,” Sutton admitted.
