The Belgian did not play a lot for Liverpool, but his physical strength will be a huge asset in the race for first place in the standings and the prize of the top scorer. It will be very difficult for him to top the charts, mainly because in his career he has never been the focal point of an attack, but he will still be one of the players who will try to get into the top five positions come the end of the season. He could be the most pleasant surprise of Serie A; he can be the player who surprises the defenders and in a few months becomes a top player with great room for improvement. Cyriel Dessers may not play for one of the top sides in Serie A but he is a goalscoring threat He is on the last waltz of his contract with Milan, he is 36 years old and this could be the last season to establish his ability to play at a top club as a protagonist. After his experience at Genk, Dessers had dreams of playing in Serie A. One of the most illustrious leagues in the world can be the stage where he shows his qualities as a modern No 9 and Cremonese can be his springboard. Osimhen is a fast and powerful player who can take Napoli to the top and who can win the top Serie A scorer, but to do so he will need a lot of intelligence and a lot of ability to manage the difficult moments of matches. His fragile character can be a problem but this will be a decisive season for the overall judgment of a striker who has all the qualities to become one of the five strongest forwards in Europe. and don't discount Divock Origi! Now Vlahovic has a great opportunity, perhaps the most important of his career: to prove that he is a top player by bringing the Scudetto back to Turin and to take top spot on the goalscoring charts. Probably all Inter fans have a certainty: if Lukaku returns to his athletic peak and regains his ideal weight of 105kg, he will have no difficulty in becoming the King of Serie A goalscorers. - The race for the Serie A Golden Boot will be fascinating in the new season

Milan opens Serie A season with 4-2 win over Udinese (USA TODAY)

Defending champion AC Milan has beaten Udinese 4-2 with the help of a dubious penalty decision.

And it took the Belgium forward less than two minutes to reopen his Inter account. “Objectively though, a team like ours should have finished it off earlier, especially as we scored in the first minute. But Falcone was let down by his defenders in the fifth minute of stoppage time as they failed to mark Dumfries and he chested the ball in from point-blank range after Lautaro Martínez had nodded down a corner. Dumfries saw a header come off the post, while Lukaku had a goal ruled out for a foul in the buildup. Federico Dimarco floated in a cross from the left and Matteo Darmian nodded it back across goal for Lukaku to head in from close range. Inter brought back Lukaku on loan this offseason, a year after he left to join Chelsea shortly after firing the Nerazzurri to the Serie A title.

Serie A Milan 4-2 Udinese: Champions comeback - Football Italia (Football Italia)

Milan conceded after 90 seconds, but the reigning champions came back to beat Udinese 4-2 with an Ante Rebic brace and sprightly Brahim Diaz.

Destiny Udogie was left out ahead of his transfer to Tottenham, while Tolgay Arslan was injured and Beto only ready for the bench. The second half was not even 60 seconds old when Milan equalised. A pair of defenders got into a tangle at the back post dealing with Theo Hernandez’s cross, so Brahim Diaz pounced on the loose ball.
