Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are the newest Pokémon games on the block, and the first new mainline entry in the series since Pokémon Sword and Shield came out ...
Potentially, this means that we'll be able to get the legendaries very early on in the game... Perhaps dragon/electric type? Potentially, this means that we'll be able to get the legendaries very early on in the game... Not much is known about Koraidon, but according to Pokéjungle, "korai" means "ancient" in Japanese. He looks dragon-type, at least, maybe with a dual fighting or fire type. Said yeast is useful for cooking, so this Pokémon has been protected by people since long ago." We think he looks a bit like a fat Latias. The oil can also be used as a weapon, but mostly to buy this scaredy-olive time to run away. Chunky. He's fat). He's a normal-type Hog Pokémon, 1'8" tall, and a whopping 22.5 lbs, with the ability Aroma Veil (which repels bug Pokémon) or Gluttony. The website says that he "may appear fat at first glance, but in reality, the Pokémon’s body is mostly muscle built by constantly walking around in search of food." Pawmi is an electric-type Mouse Pokémon (sounds familiar) who stands at just 1 foot tall, and weighs a tiny 5.5 lbs. Fuecoco is a tiny lad known as the "Fire Croc Pokémon", and his name comes from the Spanish "fuego", meaning fire, and "cocodrilo", a crocodile. He's 1'4" tall, 9 lbs, and his ability is Overgrow. We also know that he is capable of photosynthesis, and he has a special move that "releases a sweet aroma" to make opponents lose their will to battle. Scarlet and Violet will be out later this year — the 18th November, 2022, to be exact — and they're both based around the Iberian Peninsula, so expect a lot of Spanish and Portuguese cultural references.
The Pokemon Company has shared a new trailer for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, giving fans a closer look at the upcoming Nintendo Switch games ahead of their ...
Among other things, the trailer showcased a handful of new Pokemon that players will meet in the game, including Fidough, a fairy-type puppy Pokemon made of dough. This versatility will come in handy, as the Paldea region is vast and geographically diverse. This is the first fully open-world backdrop in series history.
You'll be tackling gyms as a school assignment in the Paldea region.
Depending on which version of the game you have, you’ll either be attending Narania (Scarlet) or Uva (Violet). As part of your curriculum, you’ll be embarking on a “treasure hunt” throughout the Paldea region. This isn’t the first time that Pokémon has experimented with an unconventional gym system. You’ll be playing as a student at an academy, and beating some of the toughest trainers in the region is just part of your school assignment.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are the next generation of mainline Pokémon games. Cetitan is the “Terra Whale Pokémon” and an ice type. The trailer wasn’t filled to the brim with new Pokémon. The new Paldea region appears to bring together a collection of old Pokémon from across the generations. The trailer showed old favorites like Pikachu, Rotom, and Arcanine. However, we did get two completely new Pokémon, as well as a new form of another. Said yeast is useful for cooking, so this Pokémon has been protected by people since long ago. Here is the developer’s official description:
Wednesday's Pokemon Presents teased the new mainline entries, updates to published games and the location of the 2022 Pokémon World Championships.
The live stream started with the reveal of the location of the Pokémon World Championships for 2022, with the event returning in-person in London after a pandemic-related hiatus. “Pokémon Masters EX,” which turns three years old, teased a new feature called trainer’s lodge, which appeared to show your trainer units interacting in one hub-like area. In “Pokémon Go,” Ultrabeasts may now appear, and players can use daily incense to attract several new Pokémon, including legendaries.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's newest trailer reveals the return of co-op raid battles, featuring new Pokemon and battle system twists.
The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet reveals came as part of a presentation packed with updates about Pokemon's ongoing titles. With only a few months left until the highly-anticipated release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, The Pokemon Company has been giving fans plenty of reasons to get excited about the franchise's next generation. Now, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have officially revealed new co-op raid battles for the games' new "Terastal" Pokemon.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's in-game world is called Paldea, confirming a leak from last month. Earlier today on August 3, a brand new Pokemon Presents ...
The words "naranja," which means "orange" in Spanish," and "uva," which means "grape," could be heard in the brand new trailer. We now finally know the name of the land we'll be venturing around come later this year in November. Earlier today on August 3, a brand new Pokemon Presents showcase gave us new details on both Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. One interesting new detail is that the whole in-game world for both new games is called Paldea (as we can tell from the name of the very presentation below), which gives credence to a detail that was leaked last month.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet gives fans a closer look at the cast of characters they'll meet while adventuring around the new region of Paldea.
There are other unnamed characters too who pop up in the trailer, so it seems Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will have a large cast of characters to help and potentially hinder their Pokemon journey. For characters closer to the main character's age range, there is Nemona, who many thought would be the rival in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The trailer seems to confirm that, but doesn't imply it will be a bitter rivalry, instead describing Nemona as a "battle-loving friend." Something else shown in the recent footage was the cast of characters players will meet in the games, including a new gym leader.
Region-specific Pokémon, additional forms, and a new Terastal Phenomenon debuted during a livestream featuring Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
All Pokémon in the Paldea region have the ability to Terastallize, and they can gain special powers from doing so. Trainers will need to first obtain a Tera Orb to Terastallize their Pokémon, and use it to enact a special battle transformation. It's been revealed that each Pokémon can change forms between the Sprinting Build/Drive Mode, Swimming Build/Aquatic Mode, or Gliding Build/Glide Mode. These forms help players move more quickly, explore bodies of water, and jump from place to place as well as glide. The Paldean Wooper is a variant on a pre-existing Pokémon, and like its name suggests, can only be found in Paldea. These Poison/Ground-type variants are classified as Poison Fish Pokémon and cover their bodies with a poisonous film. Players can explore it together by joining each other's games for co-op play and work together in new Tera Raid Battles that support up to four simultaneous Trainers at once. It's a favorite of people who love to cook, since the yeast can be used for specific dishes.
f. Fidough, the latest Pokémon announcement, is a puppy made of uncooked bread. I. Image: Nintendo / Kotaku. Watch. Garfield, Spyro, And More Sweet Stray ...
I’m sorry if you came here for coverage of the unbelievably cute-looking bread-dog, and instead received the news that it’s both “moist and smooth”, and suffers from an oral yeast infection. Or would that knock all the air out of a Fidough, and you’d have to leave it to prove for another hour and a half? Fidough ferments things in its vicinity using the yeast in its breath. Today’s presentation described it as, “delightfully squishy Pokémon that are smooth to the touch.” There’s nothing I like about that sentence either. Except. “Fidough’s moist, smooth skin has elastic qualities and is both firm and soft at the same time,” begins the chill-inducing description in Nintendo’s official press release. The stand-out being the inexplicable Fidough, a cute little puppy that’s seemingly...uncooked bread?
A new trailer showcasing Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet showed off multiplayer features like trading Pokémon and battling trainers from all over the ...
Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will also have Link Battles, as in previous titles. You can also Surprise Trade, which will let you select a Pokémon and trade with a random player. You and your friends can also work together to beat Tera Pokémon in Tera Raid Battles, fighting to add Terastal Pokémon — the new gem-looking form of Pokémon, unique to the Paldea region — to your Pokédex. Together you can “battle wild Pokémon,” adventure “through the open fields of the Paldea region,” and “spend time with your friends how you want to,” according to a release. Scarlet and Violet allowing real-time multiplayer exploration, especially in the mainline portions of the game, would be a significant step forward. But Scarlet and Violet will also have co-op play for up to four total trainers, expanding the ways you and your friends can enjoy the new region of Paldea.
The Pokémon Company revealed new characters Wednesday in its upcoming video games, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Here's what the game looks like.

Some Pokémon fanartists drew a very well-endowed Grusha before realizing that he's a man.
The Pokémon Twitter account revealed that Grusha used to be a professional snowboarder, and that he is usually cool-headed, except during battles. Transmasculine Grusha would definitely be able to fit a ton of boobage underneath that heavy winter coat. When the Pokémon Presents stream showed off a new ice-type gym leader for the first time, many fans thought the trainer, Grusha, was a girl.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's third trailer features three new pocket monsters that could have interesting evolutions and type combinations.
Judging by Cetitan's physical features, it could just as easily be an Ice/Fighting-type, which is currently only featured in the games through Gen 7's Crabominable. There's also the option that Cetitan evolves into a Garchomp-like pocket monster that's Ice/Dragon, but it likely wouldn't be Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's pseudo-Legendary. Still, Grusha could use Cetitan's evolution if it has one, or the trailer could be showcasing the Gym Leader's team at a low-level scale considering players can beat Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's Gyms in any order. Unlike the other new Pokemon revealed today, Cetitan could not have an evolution, as the Ice-type Gym Leader Grusha is shown using a Cetitan on his team. Even though this third trailer provided a lot of information about Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, such as the region's name and battle gimmick, the video didn't reveal too many new monsters. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are changing that with Paldean Wooper, and possibly its evolution. The Pokemon Company released new details about Pokemon Scarlet and Violet during today's Pokemon Presents, including a longer trailer as well as an explanatory video that covered all the news.
Special Pikachu knows the move Fly and can only be obtained by way of pre-ordering either Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet buyers can look forward to more than just the Special Pikachu pre-order bonus. Early Pokémon Scarlet and Violet buyers will receive a special pre-order bonus: Special Pikachu. This Pikachu knows the move Fly, which it is normally unable to learn due to its Electric-type status. Keep that in mind as the codes cannot be inputted outside of this menu option otherwise. This is currently the only way you'll be able to download Special Pikachu, unless you receive it in a trade from someone else in the future. In addition to new monsters and ways to play, they will include a three-part campaign that includes the Gym challenge, with additional secrets left to unlock. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be the very first open-world entries the franchise has seen.

Find all the details of Quintal's map below: While the official map is slightly blurry, a fanmade upscaled version is now giving us a clearer look at the Paldea region. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are slated to release on November 18.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's third trailer shows how Gen 9 doesn't need evolution screens or menus for learning new moves.
This can be done in the middle of another action, and it doesn't require players to stay on the moves menu like in the past. This is a very interesting feature that also improves the immersion side of the RPG experience, as players can seamlessly evolve their Pokemon in the wilds and even during a battle rather than using in-game menus to do so outside of fights. Today's Pokemon Presents featured the highly anticipated third trailer for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, as well as a longer commentary trailer that discussed all the features that Gen 9 will include.

The change will likely create waves in the competitive Pokémon community. We don’t know which specific Pokémon will get which Terastal powers, but the trailer showed off a few specific examples, including Pikachu changing from electric type to flying type, and Eevees turning both water and grass type after Terastallizing. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet got a new trailer on Wednesday, which revealed more about what our journeys in the Paldea region will look like.

If you are going the digital route, according to Nintendo's official webpage listing - these titles will require 10GB of file space each. A known leaker confirms that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's Tera Pokemon will learn a new move that can deal STAB damage when Terastallized.
The Pokemon Presents trailer revealed the pre-order bonus for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, which is a special, otherwise unobtainable Pikachu that has a unique Tera form. Still, this allows Pokemon that have 4x weaknesses to Terastallize into a different type and also deal STAB damage with the new move, allowing trainers to employ different strategies in every encounter. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet yesterday got a new trailer after two months since the last one, with The Pokemon Company showcasing many new features of the upcoming Gen 9 games.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet takes players to the Paldea region where several new Paldean forms of existing creatures like Wooper are found.
All new Pokemon in Scarlet & Violet What is Pokemon Scarlet & Violet’s region? Paldean forms are regional variants of Pokemon from previous generations that can only be found in the Paldea region.
From the looks of the new map image just below, it seems like there'll be a volcanic region situated in the northwestern region of Paldea, and frigid mountains ...
Earlier this year, it was revealed that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will let players explore the map at will, no longer restricting them based on linear story progression. Paldea might have the traditional areas and regions we'd expect from Pokemon games, but we'll be exploring them in very new ways. Yesterday on August 3, a brand new Pokemon Presents showcase gave us a look at the map of the upcoming games.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be released on Nintendo Switch on Nov. 18, and ahead of that date, The Pokémon Company revealed more about Paldea region.
Pokémon in Paldea can turn into gemstones with unexpected elemental types; it’s called the Terastal Phenomenon. It sounds like there will also be crystals scattered around the land, used to recharge Tera Orbs embedded in special Tera Orbs: “It’s said that the Terastal energy that seeps from the ground of the Paldea region is involved in the phenomenon,” The Pokémon Company wrote. In fact, the game’s website confirmed that the standard champion quest is one of three storylines to expect in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. (The other two have been kept under wraps for now.) Naranja Academy and Uva Academy, respective to Scarlet and Violet, are open to both children and adults looking to learn about — and with — Pokémon, according to the Scarlet and Violet website.
