Al Gore compares 'climate deniers' to Uvalde police officers (Politico)

They heard the screams, they heard the gunshots, and nobody stepped forward,” he said of law enforcement at the Texas school shooting.

His predecessor put a climate denier in charge of the World Bank. And so we’re not seeing the kinds of global policies that we should.” And he’s reversed some of the terrible policies of his predecessor. On another topic, Todd noted that Gore was cited favorably by former Trump deputy national security adviser Matthew Pottinger at the Jan. 6 committee hearings for conceding defeat after the bitterly contested 2000 presidential election. Gore has long been one of the world’s most prominent advocates of taking action to fight climate change. And confronted with this global emergency, what we’re doing with our inaction and failing to walk through the door and stop the killing is not typical of what we are capable of as human beings. And law enforcement officials tell us that’s not typical of what law enforcement usually does.

This should be a moment for a global epiphany," the former vice president said Sunday.

“Climate change is literally an existential threat to our nation and to the world,” Biden said last week. “That’s why the storms are stronger, why the ice is melting and the sea levels are rising, and why the droughts and fires are hitting us so hard and so many other consequences. The president said climate change was, indeed, an emergency, but unveiled a package of modest executive actions instead.

Al Gore is like a climate priest, you pay a percent to the church to save your soul. In the middle of the George Floyd protest, while companies were making money off racism, Al Gore found a way to connect climate change to racism. When Joe Manchin killed the Green New Deal, Al Gore just showed up with a deal of his own. He pocketed a massive $100 million from the sale, of course. He has a $2.5 million house in Nashville with $30,000 utility bill. And he sold current tv to rich Arab oil sheiks who own Al Jazeera. A station not really known for environmentalism.

Al Gore's Predictions Are Coming True (City Watch)

The fact that winters did not disappear immediately is not a disproof of global warming, but the right-wing propaganda machine used cold weather to make fun of ...

He found himself out on the end of a limb and there was nowhere to go. Let's keep one thing in mind: Only somebody as deranged as Trump and his small group of insurrectionist advisors would consider Pence to be a traitor. They started by showing his infamous raised fist in support of the Trump supporters on the morning of January 6, Then they ran a clip showing Hawley running across the intersection of two corridors as he fled. The mob tried to get hold of Pence, and the Pence Secret Service detail were frightened for their own lives. Trump was in front of a television set tuned to Fox News over the entire afternoon, watching the violence develop. They fear to admit to the existence of global warming because they fear the consequences if society as a whole were to accept that reality. Think of the old line about the mills of the gods. OK, so it's a little joke based on the construction of plural nouns that we were taught back in the tenth grade. If they insist on remaining the enemies of truth and public safety, the public will be OK with letting them die off sometime in the future. But if the red states and their elected officials keep pretending the lie about there being no global warming, we will continue on the present pathway of ever-worsening climate changes. And by now there is lots of evidence that winters are getting less cold and shorter, glaciers are melting, big pieces of the ice sheets are breaking off, and we're now in a state of chronic wildfires as draught, heat, and periods of dryness combine. And we are now paying the price for that 10-year drought and that climate change."
