Riverdale Brings Some Clarity, Closure to Sabrina Spellman's CAOS (Bleeding Cool News)

For Chilling Adventures of Sabrina fans, Sunday night brought a lot to unpack & process by the time the credits rolled on The CW's Riverdale.

But even amidst all of the "CAOS" (sorry, we had to), Sabrina and Nick-via-Jughead are able to spend some one-on-one time together for Sabrina to finally get a chance to say her goodbyes before Nick heads back to the Sweet Hereafter. Now, where do things go from here? It was that experience that inspired Sabrina to specialize in "death magic" and necromancy. dead. And while it was nice to see them reunited in the Sweet Hereafter, they were still…

Riverdale Will Need Sabrina Spellman Again, Says Kiernan Shipka (Screen Rant)

Kiernan Shipka, who portrays Sabrina Spellman, believes Riverdale will need the help of the teenage witch once again in the show's season 7.

Riverdale season 6 has invested in establishing superpowers and magic in the show's universe, so it would seem a wasted opportunity not to have Shipka's Sabrina appear again. While Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 4 did see Sabrina get killed off in the series finale, Riverdale season 6 was somewhat able to give that arc some closure. During Shipka's latest Riverdale appearance, Sabrina explains to the crew that her boyfriend, Nick Scratch, had sacrificed himself to bring her back from the dead, while he remained in the Sweet Hereafter. This was despite the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina series finale clearly showing Nick and Sabrina both together in the afterlife. After Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 4 saw the show's cancellation, this seemingly opened the door for Shipka's Sabrina to finally arrive on Riverdale. At the start of Riverdale season 6, The CW series hosted a special five-part event called Rivervale, similar to The Flash's "Armageddon" arc. And besides that, I think that both Roberto and I—and I don't want to put words in his mouth—but I really do think that we're both so passionate about this character and keeping her alive and well in the zeitgeist, in the universe. Throughout Chilling Adventures of Sabrina's run, there were many allusions to the series taking place in the same universe as Riverdale. After years of wanting to see Archie Comics' most famous witch make a cameo, The CW drama finally delivered when Sabrina appeared in season 6.

Five Thoughts on Riverdale's “The Witches of Riverdale” (Multiversity Comics)

Multiversity Comics' coverage of Riverdale continues with The Witches of Riverdale. Sabrina Spellman is back! That's all that really matters.

Reggie’s consciousness manifests inside the puppet he used to distract Jughead in “Blue Collar” and he convinces him to get the fuck out of dodge. I would say there will be no repercussions for this but Sabrina teased something and they likely did all this nonsense so that they could do something with the four being back. Were you happy to see the Big Pop’s in the Sky again? What did you all think of the episode? Then she sees all her dead family and oof, I felt bad for Cheryl. The only thing that would’ve made Archie’s hereafter sweeter would be seeing Fred. It was the right choice not to have any vestige of him appear; it simply would have made it more complete. No. The simple existence of the creature. Not the significance of it. I don’t know if this was a satisfying coda for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina fans – I still have yet to see the show beyond the first two episodes. Because the camera work and musical cues caused me to write in my notes at least three times that I did not want that. You know what didn’t disappoint, or at the very least lived up to what I was expecting? The name of the game this week is resurrection. Let’s hope that was that last break because I would really like to be done with this season of Riverdale. Don’t get me wrong.

'Riverdale' Finally Answers the Biggest Question About Sabrina ... (Showbiz Cheat Sheet)

Sabrina Spellman briefly addressed how she's alive after 'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina' in the newest crossover episode of 'Riverdale.'

Sabrina Spellman made her debut in Riverdale, alive and well, at the beginning of season 6 in December 2021. The finale’s last scene showed Sabrina in the Sweet Hereafter, a heavenly depiction of the afterlife. Zelda told Baron that Sabrina was dead, and she wanted her back — “whatever the price.” That’s right — Sabrina Spellman (Kiernan Shipka), the teenage witch, died and went to the Sweet Hereafter. Her family buried her beside Sabrina Morningstar — who died after a trip to an alternate reality — outside the mortuary. The episode not only provided Chilling Adventures of Sabrina fans another taste of their favorite witch, but also revealed exactly how Sabrina is alive after the CAOS finale.

Kiernan Shipka Thinks Sabrina "Has To Come Back" For ... (Elite Daily)

Kiernan Shipka is pretty sure 'Riverdale' will keep embracing the chaos (and 'CAOS') in its seventh and final season by bringing back Sabrina Spellman.

“I think Riverdale deserves a wild last season,” she said. “I think that both Roberto and I — and I don't want to put words in his mouth — but I really do think that we're both so passionate about this character and keeping her alive and well in the zeitgeist, in the universe ... I, certainly, and I think Roberto too, want to continuously see where she could go.” I think they're gonna need her help again,” Shipka said of Sabrina in a July 10 interview with TV Guide. "Like for entertainment's sake, I would say [they should] lean into the chaos — no pun intended — as much as they can and work hard and have faith that it's all gonna work out, but at the end of the day, just truly probably call Sabrina again.
