Center Thomas Bryant has signed a one-year deal to return to the Lakers, the team he began his career with.

Bryant will contend for the Lakers’ starting center spot alongside Anthony Davis and should be able to win the gig. He hasn’t played more than 50 games in a season since the 2018-19 campaign. The Los Angeles Lakers’ latest addition during free agency is someone they are familiar with.

Either way, he will provide the team with, at the very least, 15-20 productive minutes per game. That figure dropped to just 24 percent this past season. But rebounding was just as much of a problem for them. Bryant also has an impressive 7-foot-6 wingspan. Not only is Bryant young, but he is a workhorse who brings great effort and can energize his teammates and even the crowd with his animated countenance.
