The Glen Allen community is mourning the loss of 17-year-old Julia Budzinski, a student at the school who died on July 2.
Julia Budzinski, 17, died in a boating accident in Virginia and her father, Toronto Blue Jays coach Mark Budzinski took a leave of absence from the team.
He managed in the Cleveland Indians’ minor league system for a few years and joined the organization’s big league staff in 2017. He played four games for the Cincinnati Reds and retired as a player in 2005. Blue Jays manager Charlie Montoyo left the game as well. Montoyo said he understood that things were bigger than the game of baseball. He is loved and well-respected by our entire clubhouse and holds a special place in all our hearts."
