It’s a little more difficult to choose the earlier match between Lashley and the Usos. One of those matches will follow the women’s ladder match. Therefore I think her match will go earlier than Rousey’s. There are an even number of men and women’s matches on this card, so I’m going to alternate between them up and down the lineup. When you also consider the fact that there are two separate women’s championship matches on this card, whereas WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is nowhere to be seen, it makes it even more likely that the women will open the show and the men will main event. So WWE has to make a choice between the men and the women for those spots. WWE has announced six different segments for the main card of this event.

Sure, MITB should help an underdog more, but the world needs cocky, brash, Big Time Becks with the briefcase.

We need someone to win the briefcase tonight and HOLD ON TO THE DAMN THING. That’s why I’m going with Becky. The woman can get anything over, and they always give her ample screen time. Since then, we’ve had two same-night cash-ins, a Raw after the PPV cash-in, and that one time Becky just gave Asuka the title because she got preggers. Giving it to her may sound like a good idea on paper, so she gets more screen time, but without the proper build, I fear her win would be lackluster, and that could be her death knell in WWE. The entire point (in theory) of a MITB match is to give a deserving superstar a chance to prove themselves worthy of a championship run. The women’s MITB match is still relatively new, and since its inception, we’ve only had one good briefcase experience. Now, normally I would agree with that statement, but I cannot stop thinking about how incredible Becky Lynch, with all her star power, swagger, and mic skills, would be as a briefcase holder. Hopefully, being in this match will give her a couple of spotlight moments and win her a few new fans. Tonight seven women will enter the Money in the Bank ladder match in the hopes of climbing their way to a championship opportunity. Raquel Rodriquez: The MITB match was made for someone like Raquel. Someone new to the roster who has an impressive pedigree but who hasn’t had the opportunity to shine. She’s the one everyone is saying should win. Lacey Evans, Alexa Bliss, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Asuka, Shotzi, and Becky Lynch are all hoping to walk out Miss Money in the Bank, but the playing field isn’t exactly equal. The next premium live event by the WWE rolls into "Sin City" on Saturday as Money in the Bank takes place from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The women's Money in the Bank field consisted of Becky Lynch, Lacey Evans, Liv Morgan, Alexa Bliss, Raquel Rodriguez, Asuka and Shotzi.

In addition to Morgan, who has never held a championship in her career, upstart Raquel Rodriguez, Shotzi and Lacey Evans are also chasing their first championship win on the main roster. - Asuka Even though Becky Lynch led the field, listed at +150 to win, WWE’s storyline of Lynch’s mental lapses and string of losses made her a very risky and vulnerable favorite.

The WWE Money in the Bank event featured two huge ladder matches with a valuable contract on the line along with four title matches rounding out the card.

Dawkins with a punch to both Usos, Ford tagged in and Jimmy saved Jey. The Usos sent Dawkins into the ring post and The Usos hit a double superkick for a two count. Jimmy tried a suplex on the apron, but Ford blocked it and Ford suplexed Jimmy on the apron. Jey tagged in with a chinlock on Ford to ground him on the mat. The Usos hit the 1D on Ford and Jimmy covered Ford for the pinfall win after 23 minutes. Jimmy tagged in with a jumping punch on Dawkins. Jimmy choked Dawkins across the middle rope and Jey hit a cheap shot punch. Theory grounded Lashley with a chinlock for about a minute, then Theory with a knee to the ribs and more chinlock work by Theory. Lashley went for a Hurt Lock attempt, but Theory got out of it. Theory set up Lashley on the top rope, Theory tried a move there, but Lashley blocked it and Theory came back with a kick. Lashley to the floor, he tried sending Theory into the ring post, but Theory blocked it and sent Lashley into the ring post. Asuka sent Lynch into a ladder, Asuka with a knee to Morgan and Raquel kicked Asuka. Raquel kicked Evans down and Raquel tried to use the ladder as a weapon, but Lynch and Morgan kicked Raquel in the ribs. Lashley hit Theory with a forearm to knock him off the apron to the floor. Raquel stopped an Asuka climb, then Asuka fought back and Raquel hit Asuka with a lefty clothesline on the floor. Lynch hit her more with her backside and it wasn’t a leg drop through the ladder, but Lynch slid off while bumping to the floor.

Morgan won two major accolades in less than three hours at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

This match was unbelievable. The Usos Following Bianca Belair's win, Carmella started beating her down, leading to a buzz throughout the crowd as fans expected Liv Morgan to possibly cash in. - The Street Profits vs. Lashley winning was a surprise, especially considering WWE is "heating up" Theory for Cena. As of this writing, the event is a near sellout in its new home. Becky Lynch winning would have made MITB seem like a prop in a Becky Lynch storyline. However, even if that story works for her long term, WWE Money in the Bank 2022 was the low point of a rough year to date. This was certainly not the most crowd-pleasing end to a good night of wrestling, but it does mean Theory has gone from midcard to main event all in one show. While it is often good, their battle at WWE Money in the Bank 2022 was on another level. The action and drama proved the power of tag team wrestling at a level WWE rarely reaches. Winning Money in the Bank was a long time coming, finally rewarding her great work. WWE Money in the Bank has typically been one of WWE's biggest shows, but this night felt lacking on the surface.

good on WWE for going with a young guy who is new to the main event scene! It’s time for the Men’s Money In The Bank. And I have NO IDEA who is going to win this, though the pre-show made the ENTIRE STORY about Riddle, so… I’m spending almost the entirety of this match trying to figure out what the problem is with my computer. I thought adding him to this contest was just a red herring, but it’s not. The ones that are too wet, and the ones that are too dry. 9:51pm: The Usos won, and the match did pick up dramatically in the back end, so that is nice. I definitely thought Theory was going to walk out with the belt. I guess it’s the first color change she has had since she came to the main roster. I can put aside all the work I have for four hours a month to enjoy these. And I barely know who is in those. This is another WWE PPV that I did not realize was happening until I found out the day before. Also: I love you, and I want to know how your day is going, too!

The 2022 edition of WWE's Money In The Bank has come and gone. What were the best matches of the pay-per-view?

The match started slow and methodical, with The Usos working at a pace like Roman Reigns. But that was because they were given tons of time, and things steadily built up throughout. In the end, it was the late entrant Theory who won it, taking out Riddle after a match filled with carnage, great spots, and smart storytelling. The men did just edge things when it comes to the battle of the ladder matches this year, with a great encounter between many top stars. There were counters on display throughout, and that played into the finish with Lashley slipping out of the A-Town Down to set up the Hurt Lock for the win in a fun encounter. This one was all about the moment, and that was certainly an epic one, but the match wasn't memorable. This got a major reaction and seeing her capture the title was an amazing thing to witness, but in terms of a match, there wasn't much to write about.

Morgan's story is about her being an underdog but despite enduring a brutal ladder match; she was still able to come out to the ring and go toe-to-toe with Ronda Rousey. Alexa Bliss opted to cash in her contract the same night she won the ladder match. However, there could have been a show-stealing return to pop the fans instead of a seemingly weird cryptic video. If WWE was going to see Theory beaten by Bobby Lashley so that he could go into the Money in the Bank ladder match, then there were better ways of going about it. Lashley may be the new United States Champion, but this completely undersells what he did to Theory in the match and how effective his Hurt Lock is. All other women after the inaugural winner have had relatively short reigns as Miss Money in the Bank.

Having The Usos retain, but only by a bad call, was a great way to prolong this. Originally, this match was supposed to have a stipulation The Street Profits could choose, but WWE never followed through with that. - In a digital exclusive, Happy Corbin attacked Pat McAfee after the show. Carmella slotting in wasn't giving off vibes that the title would change hands, but WWE could have easily done a swerve for the sake of shock value and had Carmella score an upset. It will just be an active choice and not something that WWE can afford to passively hope will naturally happen on its own. But now that he has a belt of his own, it is also a good excuse for why he's not in the main event scene, allowing Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre and others to have their moments. Unfortunately, what could be considered a bad booking decision was to have Carmella attack Belair after the match, signaling this feud isn't over. The All Mighty wasn't able to get back the WWE Championship earlier this year, but this is a fine consolation prize. Sometimes, that results in the match immediately being restarted. Others have held a belt while being Mr. Money in the Bank, but one often gets sidelined while the other is focused on. After all, the past few years have seen her come up short in all her most important matches, so it was easy to assume that trend would continue. WWE Money in the Bank 2022 will certainly go down as an historic event.

Booking a babyface to win a title in a heel-ish way as a plot convenience rarely works out well for the babyface and the decision to have Rousey embrace Morgan after Morgan essentially stole the title from her undercuts the title’s importance. Besides, it’s nice to see WWE moments that aren’t comprised of HEEEEAAAAAT. However, we actually saw a more back-and-forth outing from these two, though it also meant we had to sit through an extended Theory rest hold portion. The match itself struggled to live up to the high standards set by previous ladder matches, but even if the workrate disappointed you, seeing Morgan retrieve the briefcase and the coveted women’s championship match contract inside surely brought a smile to your face. Now, there are plenty of issues to critique about this cash-in. Consequently, WWE significantly scaled back the hype for this show.
