Stanley has told team officials that his ankle recovery is progressing more quickly than last offseason, but Harbaugh’s quote on Stanley two weeks ago reflected more of the cautiousness in their optimism as he said, “Ronnie’s mission right now would be to get in the best shape of his life and get ready to play football.” Like the rest of the league, Baltimore is in the process of figuring out who will make the cut for the final roster come late-August. One of the positions that provides a bit of interest for the Ravens is on the defensive line, as Zrebiec explained in a roster projection earlier this week. Bowser started every game of the year for the first time in his career and tallied career-highs in total tackles (59), sacks (7.0), tackles for loss (8.0), quarterback hits (15) and forced fumbles (2) just a year after recording three interceptions. Outside linebacker Tyus Bowser signed a four-year contract to stay with the Ravens after the 2020 season and rewarded Baltimore with his best season as a pro to date. A big offseason in the summer of 2021 that included the additions of DeMar DeRozan and Lonzo Ball to an already talented starting five with LaVine and Nikola Vucevic elevated expectations in Chicago and helped the Bulls get off to a fast start in the fall. Marlins 6, Nationals 3 Brian Anderson hit a home run and an RBI single as visiting Miami opened a four-game series by defeating Washington. Garrett Cooper drove in a run with one of his two doubles for Miami, Joey Wendle returned from the injured list to go 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Marlins starter Trevor Rogers (4-6) gave up one run on two hits and three walks in five innings. Arenado is the first Cardinals player to hit for the cycle since Mark Grudzielanek in 2005. Arenado tripled in the first inning, hit a two-run home run in the third, doubled in the sixth and singled in the eighth. The Clippers and point guard John Wall formally agreed to terms on a two-year contract worth $13.2M, according to a tweet from Klutch Sports Group. Wall reached a buyout agreement earlier in the week with the Rockets and was officially cut on Tuesday, clearing waivers on Thursday. Reporting at the time of his agreement with Houston indicated that he intended to join the Clippers, likely on a deal worth the taxpayer mid-level exception. The leaders they have in there, all the way down to the staff, is unbelievable. And the other thing is the group of guys in that room. While Curry did play his part with the Nets acting as a support player, Simmons failed to suit up for Brooklyn for the entire second half of the season. Fans were supposed to see the new Big 3 of Simmons, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Durant for the upcoming season, but all of those expectations have been put to rest as KD has reportedly demanded a trade from the franchise.
