Being able to be from Arkansas and being able to come up here and feel that, that’s something I’ll never take for granted or take lightly. Got better as a basketball player for sure, being in this system that coach (Mike Budenholzer) has and being around great players allowed me to see what greatness is, that allows you to come in everyday and be the best you can be and try to put forth more into it. In 2020-21, he shot a career-high 47.1% from behind the three-point line and helped the Bucks win an NBA title. “Being able to be in a city that embraced me the last two years; you know some players go through their whole careers and they never get a chance to feel that atmosphere. It is possible for players or teams to change their minds on an agreement in this period. So definitely on the basketball side it’s definitely great.

Bucks news: Bobby Portis returns to Giannis Antetokounmpo ... (ClutchPoints)

The Milwaukee Bucks have re-signed fan favorite Bobby Portis to a lucrative deal that will keep him in town through the 20225-2026 season.

That goes all the way back to his days in college at Arkansas. He led the Razorbacks into a couple of extremely intense battles with Kentucky back when the Wildcats rarely ever lost a game. Portis has been known for being the first guy to the floor and never backs down from a physical challenge. His play was rewarded on Thursday as Milwaukee has reportedly re-signed the Bucks power forward to a four-year, $49 million deal.

The Bucks agreed to a four-year, $49 million deal with Bobby Portis and a one-year deal with Joe Ingles.

A postseason veteran, Ingles played in 45 playoff games with the Jazz over the past five seasons. Portis, 27, started 59 games of his 72 games last season, largely as a fill-in for an injured Brook Lopez, and averaged 14.6 points and 9.1 rebounds while shooting 47.9% from the field and 39.3% from 3. Known best for his quick release on 3-pointers, Ingles is also adept at putting the ball on the floor when attacking closeouts and has a knack for creating good looks for teammates with his passing. Ingles, 34, tore his ACL in January and spent the rest of the past season rehabbing from the injury. The Bucks also agreed to a one-year deal with Joe Ingles, his wife, Renae, announced via Twitter on Thursday. He has started seven playoff games in the past two years in Milwaukee and averaged 15.4 points and 11.3 rebounds in them.

Report: Bobby Portis Re-Signs With Bucks (Brew Hoop)

Free agent F Bobby Portis is returning to the Milwaukee Bucks on a 4-year, $49M contract, his agent Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports tells ESPN.

The 27-year-old will now be a Buck through 2025 and could opt-in for 2025–26, which is also the opt-in year on Giannis’ contract. This is about the same value in terms of a first-year salary of about $10.9m as the non-taxpayer mid-level exception, which many teams around the league could offer. This figure represents the most that the Bucks could offer in terms of both years and salary to Portis by using his early Bird rights.

There was no way the Milwaukee Bucks were going to let Bobby Portis leave, they signed him to a four-year, $49 million contract.

The Bucks also signed veteran Joe Ingles to a one-year contract, although he will miss most of the season recovering from ACL surgery. However, with Brook Lopez entering the final year of his contract, this could be about Portis stepping into a starting role down the line. However, Portis wanted to get paid, so he opted out of his $4.6 million player option with the intent of re-signing.
