The L.A. Lakers signed Shaq and Scottie Pippen's sons, Shareef and Scotty Jr., to deals following Thursday's NBA Draft.

Shareef -- who played his college ball at both UCLA and LSU -- is a 6-foot-10, 225-pound big man who can stretch the floor. Pippen Jr., meanwhile, signed a two-way deal, meaning he'll also play on the summer roster with O'Neal, but will then have a good shot of getting on the actual regular-season squad. The Lakers have signed Scotty Pippen Jr. to a two-way contract, The Athletic reported early Friday morning, following the 2022 NBA Draft.

Another video featured Pippen Jr. popping a bottle of champagne. In addition to Pippen Jr., the Lakers also signed Shareef O’neal, son of team legend Shaquille O’Neal, to a Summer League deal, according to The Athletic, shortly after the 2022 NBA Draft. Celebrity couple Giuliana and Bill Rancic’s RPM Seafood catered the event.

Vanderbilt star Scotty Pippen Jr. was not selected in the NBA Draft on Thursday night, but he did land a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Even though Pippen signed a contract with the Lakers, there's no guarantee he'll be on their main roster. In addition to signing Pippen, the Lakers also agreed to a two-way contract with Syracuse swingman Cole Swider. In order for that to happen, he'll need to work his way up the ladder in the G-League.
