Afterward, guests will engage in a seated tasting of four estate series wines and a light snack with views of Sonoma Mountain and the valley. The estate comprises a total of 335 acres spanning two ranches, and guests can visit the winery and sample its sparkling wines with a selection of reservable tours and tastings. To immerse yourself in the family's winemaking practices, book the Estate Experience for a private tour of the vineyard, winery and wine cave. The Portfolio Tasting introduces guests to a sampling of Arrowood's red and white wines, while the Reserve Tasting showcases its single-vineyard and reserve wines. The Century Tour & Library Tasting takes guests around the vineyards while you learn about the history of the estate; current release and older vintage wines are served in a seated tasting at the conclusion of the visit. The experience includes a tasting of the new releases along with insight into the wines and history of Mauritson's six-generation journey in the winemaking industry. The winery offers an estate visit and tour by reservation only for a taste of five flagship wines (chardonnays, pinot noirs and syrah) and of Keller Estate olive oil. Don and Rhonda Carano acquired land in the Alexander Valley AVA and founded Ferrari-Carano Vineyards and Winery in 1981. The winery specializes in cabernet sauvignon but also makes a small-batch rose and sauvignon blanc. As the founder of the first new winery in Dry Creek Valley following Prohibition, Stare was the first winemaker to plant sauvignon blanc in the valley – and the first to produce a fume blanc in Sonoma County. He also initiated the process for Dry Creek Valley to become a wine appellation in 1983. A guided vineyard tasting includes two vintages of Russian River chardonnay and two vintages of Alexander Valley cabernet sauvignon paired with a selection of artisanal salumi and cheeses chosen by the winemaker – amid panoramic vineyard views. Splurge on The Collector's Flight to sample exclusive and highly rated wines, or check out the Heritage Tasting, which is hosted in the historic Baler Bar and features a flight of the winery's single-vineyard chardonnay, pinot noir, and syrah or zinfandel.

LOOK: 2023 five-star wideout in maize and blue on official visit (WolverinesWire)

Michigan football is hosting one of the best wide receivers in the country in the 2023 class on Tuesday.

The maize and blue are also in the mix for Baton Rouge (La.) Catholic wideout Shelton Sampson Jr., who is also a five-star prospect. On June 24, the maize and blue will host Miami (Fla.) Gulliver Prep five-star Jalen Brown, who’s also strongly considering schools such as Miami and LSU. But making a midweek visit to Ann Arbor, DeSoto (Tx.) five-star receiver Johntay Cook II appears to be enjoying his visit. Ohio State made headlines the past two days as it got verbal commitments from two five-star wide receivers — Carnell Tate and Brandon Inniss. But the Wolverines have been solid recruiting talented wideouts, and are looking to make a similar impact in the 2023 cycle.

Visit Jackson was on the chopping block 4 years ago. Now it has ... (Jackson Clarion Ledger)

Under new leadership and a new structure, Visit Jackson is thriving and has the confidence of the state legislature which it lacked for years.

Thigpen said he was recently at the Chicago Blues Festival selling Jackson as a destination, not just for its blues history but also for its connection to Chicago through the great migration. "We might have had a table at their event the year before saying, 'Come to Jackson next year.'" "The main thing that they're doing is they are very focused on pursuing business that accelerates the economic viability of Jackson, Mississippi. They are very in tune with their restaurants, very in tune with their hotels," Powell said. While Visit Jackson may have previously struggled to show the legislature their worth, Thigpen said his team regularly updates leaders at the capitol with quarterly reports. "They really don't ask people to participate on those kinds of boards unless they feel confident in their abilities. The first major change to Visit Jackson came in the form of new leadership. "We have fantastic assets that a lot of other communities don’t have and they are not being used to the best of its abilities. He has also been selected to serve on a board of the Mississippi Tourism Association, the U.S. Travel Association and Destinations International. "Rather than, as the previous person prior to Rickey had, rather than saying, 'No, no, no, we can't do that." The extension seemed to pass almost as a formality, in stark contrast to past years. The city's 1% sales tax on hotels, motels and restaurants, which funds Visit Jackson, was set to expire on July 1, but state lawmakers extended it for another four years with little controversy. Very unhappy employees, it was just a mess, I don't know how else to put it."

To encourage a car-free bike culture for summer events, VTT co-created, with Truckee Trails Foundation and Town of Truckee’s Keep Truckee Green, the Sustainable Truckee Bike Valet for Truckee Thursdays and Music in the Park on Wednesdays. The free valet service provides safe, secure bike storage for event attendees. Trails for Everybody began with VTT’s contributing sponsorship to the Truckee Trails Foundation construction of Ridgeline Nature Loop in summer 2021. For summer 2022, VTT’s contributing sponsorship for Truckee Trails Foundation helped close the fiscal gap needed to construct a new, all-inclusive and universally-designed (also known as “adaptive”) mountain bike loop to further enhance the Sawtooth trail network. Town of Truckee’s Alfred Knotts championed the project with input from Visit Truckee-Tahoe and continues to work with BCycle on implementation.

She says this was not a hard decision for her to make as it gave her more time to spend with her family. Next time you are in downtown Chillicothe be sure to stop by some of these unique shops. Guest can come in to paint pottery and canvases, the stores also offers parties for special occasions such as birthdays and bridal showers. Pam Hatton, a glass artist at the studio, says being in "quaint" downtown is great for business as they see much more foot traffic compared to other locations. Though it is a separate business Paper City Coffee was created as a way to support the Paper City Mentoring Project. This program is a non-profit mentoring program for high school students where they are partnered up with mentors who help support them by providing socialization and guidance. Paper City Coffee has worked to expand the downtown area and help bring people into the town. Manager Lydia Moore enjoys the store for many of the same reasons. This is why almost all the designs in the store come from local artists Since the store is on the smaller side Bruning has to be selective about what is shelved. Paper City Coffee is a great place to stop during your shopping trip for a nice relaxing cup of coffee. Next time you stop by be sure to visit some of these stores run by people from the area. Local bibliophiles don't need to travel far for the newest book as this independently owned bookstore has them covered.

Saudi crown prince pays first visit to Turkey since Khashoggi murder (Al-Monitor)

The talks in Ankara between Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan come one month before a visit to Riyadh by US president ...

Turkey's rapprochement with the Saudis began with an Istanbul court decision in April to break off the trial in absentia of 26 suspects accused of links to Khashoggi's killing and to transfer the case to Riyadh. The kingdom's state media ended up releasing a picture of Erdogan hugging the crown prince, an image that created a furore in Turkey. A joint statement issued by their foreign ministers said the meeting was held "in an atmosphere of sincerity and brotherhood embodying the depth of excellent relations between the two countries". "I think this is probably one of the most significant visits to Ankara by a foreign leader in almost a decade," said The Washington Institute's Turkey specialist Soner Cagaptay. The Turkish leader personally welcomed the crown prince at his presidential palace at a grand ceremony featuring a parade of horses and a military honour guard. It was his Islamic-rooted government that released gruesome details of the Khashoggi murder suggesting that his body had been dismembered and dissolved in acid.

Saudi crown prince visits Turkey for first time since Khashoggi murder (BBC News)

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan embraced Mohammed bin Salman before they held talks aimed at repairing a deep rift. Mr Erdogan once indirectly accused the prince ...

She made that judgement after listening to purported audio recordings of conversations inside the consulate made by Turkish intelligence. In April, Mr Erdogan flew to Saudi Arabia and publicly embraced the prince, as their countries began what he called a "new period of co-operation". Saudi prosecutors blamed "rogue" agents and said the prince had had no knowledge of the operation. While Mr Erdogan did not directly accuse Prince Mohammed, he claimed he knew the order to kill Khashoggi had come "from the highest levels of the Saudi government". He also visited Jordan and Egypt this week as part of a Middle East tour and next month will meet US President Joe Biden, who promised in 2019 to make Saudi Arabia "the pariah that they are" over Khashoggi's murder. Mr Erdogan once indirectly accused the prince of ordering Saudi agents to kill Khashoggi. He denied any involvement.

The two zones add up to roughly 5,000 square miles, and residents were only told that they would have a vague “period of time” to “reach more secure areas.” The operation comes after a massacre this month in the north of the country killed at least 100 civilians. “Our youngest son is still in secondary school and still has a few years to go. On Tuesday, Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina called for a redoubling of relief efforts after massive flooding in the northeast of the country left hundreds of thousands of people homeless and killed at least 12 civilians. That possibility remains up in the air even after LR leader Christian Jacob said it was “out of the question to enter into a coalition deal. Macron is expected to lean on the center-right Les Républicains (LR) for support in a parliament with heavy left-wing and far-right representation. French President Emmanuel Macron continues to meet with opposition parliamentary groups in a bid to form a working coalition after his Ensemble bloc failed to win an absolute majority in Sunday’s elections. Four million people, including 1.6 million children, have been left stranded by the floods, UNICEF said on Monday. Outcry from world leaders over the killing of Khashoggi has largely faded away, soft-power moves in sport and entertainment are taking root, and Saudi Arabia’s vast oil wealth is now more pivotal than ever amid a supply crunch sparked by Russia’s war in Ukraine. Nimet Demir, the dissenting judge on the three-person panel that decided to transfer the murder case to Riyadh, has now been reassigned to a judicial backwater. The address will help set the scene ahead of a BRICS virtual summit with the leaders of Russia, India, Brazil, and South Africa on Thursday. The increase, driven by discounted Russian barrels, knocks Saudi Arabia off the top spot as China’s largest source of crude. Biden, himself, may not be able to convince the Saudis to bring down oil prices, but self-interest might.

Lt. governor discusses UCR needs during campus visit (UC Riverside)

“It was wonderful to be back at UC Riverside where I had the opportunity to learn directly from graduate students about innovative projects and solutions to the climate challenges we all face,” she said. As part of her visit, Kounalakis also toured the Center for Environmental Research and Technology, or CE-CERT, where she spent time talking to students. Some buildings date back to the 1950s and 1960s and still utilize their original plumbing and mechanics, Bomotti said. A state bill, introduced by Assemblymember Jose Medina, D-Riverside, would provide UCR and UC Merced $1.46 billion to build new classrooms, hire staff, and address other needs. It includes swivel chairs that allow students to circle completely around while engaged in group discussions, a feature Kounalakis admired. “It’s wonderful to be back on campus,” said Kounalakis, who previously visited UCR in 2019 while a candidate.
