It looks like Marvel's Midnight Suns' Switch port has been delayed (GamesRadar+)

Marvel's Midnight Suns releases on October 7 for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, though you'll have to wait a while to play it on the Nintendo Switch.

Essentially, the power of anime and JRPGs are not to be underestimated. While we don’t get much regarding gameplay, we see a sleek new look for the web slinger alongside demonic versions of Venom, Sabretooth, Scarlet Witch, and Hulk. Scarlet Witch also stands among the heroes under a title card, suggesting that she’ll be part of the playable roster. While some thought Firaxis shelved the port, it seems to be coming at a later date at the time of writing.

Here's What the Card-Based Combat of Marvel's Midnight Suns ... (Push Square)

While most major adaptations of the comic book vigilantes tend to be third-person action adventures, developer Firaxis is taking a fresh view. As you can see in ...

You play as a new hero, The Hunter, and you will be able to build relationships with whichever characters you like by spending time with them. There's no cover — although plenty of environmental objects to take advantage of — and you can't move every character in a turn, while all attacks will always land — no percentages here. The studio is known for the most recent XCOM games, but this is looking to be a departure from that formula too.

Marvel's Spider-Man Actor Returns For Midnight Suns (GameSpot)

Your ears aren't deceiving you: that's Insomniac's Spider-Man actor Yuri Lowenthal playing the webhead in Marvel's Midnight Suns.

"But while Midnight Suns is a little out of the wheelhouse for Firaxis, it was also fun to play." "Marvel's Midnight Suns was surprising in that, while it looks a bit like the XCOM games, it tends to feel drastically different from them. This version of Spider-Man is completely different to Insomniac's version though, as the only similarities that these two incarnations share is the same voice actor, powers, and a wardrobe full of alternate costumes.

Marvel's Midnight Suns “not nearly as stressful” as XCOM, dev says (The Loadout)

It's shaping up to be an action-packed adventure with a combination of strategic combat and over-world RPG elements. And, it's spent long enough in the oven ...

Marvel’s Midnight Suns is “still easily as complex as any match of XCOM”, according to Solomon, and that has to be thanks to the game’s card system. This system will give players a limited selection of superheroic abilities in each combat scenario and is at the core of the game’s puzzle-like combat situations. And again, this fits the fantasy, but the idea is, Iron Man is Iron Man from the beginning. It just felt terrible.” The ‘randomness’ of abilities and attacks is a core mechanic in XCOM’s combat system, understandably something you would try to implement into an XCOM-like game if you’re the development team behind the XCOM franchise. Originally, Firaxis Games approached the development of making Marvel’s Midnight Suns with a plan to make XCOM with superheroes. For Solomon, developing Marvel’s Midnight Suns was “one of those things where…

Why Spider-Man in Marvel's Midnight Suns sounds so familiar (SVG)

Marvel fans watching Summer Game Fest might have thought they heard a familiar voice during one of the trailers.

Maybe the "Marvel's Midnight Suns" Wolverine actor will win themselves a role in PlayStation's " Marvel's Wolverine" game with their performance. While Solomon didn't reveal much about the background of the "Midnight Suns" version of Spider-Man, this isn't Lowenthal's first rodeo in an alternate Spider-Man universe. Of course, having the same voice actor voice Spider-Man in both games might leave some questions about which universe "Marvel's Midnight Suns" takes place in, but the game's developers were quick to clarify that their Spider-Man is not the same one as PlayStation's and Insomniac's. Speaking with VGC, Firaxis creative director Jake Solomon clarified, "It's not meant to be that Spidey, but we heard that Spidey and said 'that sounds like Peter Parker to me,' but it's not the exact same character."

Marvel's Midnight Suns: Every Villain Shown To Be In The Game So ... (Game Rant)

With a new trailer for Marvel's Midnight Suns rousing excitement, let's take a look at the villains the game has in store.

Notable members of hydra are Baron Strucker and Red Skull, villains that we may see in Midnight Suns, but with no knowledge of the villainous two so far. His skin is more scaly, and he has far more sharp and pointy spikes than just his claws. Ditching his iconic ripped purple shorts, Hulk seems to be sporting a purple loincloth, and most notably, demonic horns and scales. Lilith should be considered an Omega-level threat for her powers and ability to make heroes “Fallen” versions of themselves. More importantly, the trailer gives future players their first look at some of the villains they will be facing. The potential rosters for the franchise's video games are constantly growing, and their latest title, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, is no exception.
