The UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada will be the site for a rumble between top 10 heavyweights Alexander Volkov and Jairzinho Rozenstruik.

Rozenstruik (12-3, 11 KOs), ranked eighth, is the first UFC fighter to come from Suriname. He is a slightly compact (6-foot-2, 258 pounds) powerhouse that should provide an interesting contrast to the 6-foot-7 Volkov. He stormed into the UFC winning four straight and turned heads when he knocked out former champ Andrei Arlovski in 29 seconds at UFC 244 and then finished Overeem ONE MONTH LATER with four seconds remaining in the fifth round. Volkov, however, has struggled when there was a clear step up in competition as shown by losses to top five heavyweights Derrick Lewis, Curtis Blaydes, Ciryl Gane and most recently a stoppage loss to fast-rising English heavyweight Tom Aspinall. He has some big wins in UFC including knockouts over Fabricio Werdum in 2018 and Alistair Overeem in February 2021.

Evloev lands a body kick and the round ends. Back in the center, Almeida lands a crisp combination to the body and tops it off with a leg kick. Kowalkiewicz quickly moves to (you guessed it) the back and is seeking (you guessed it) a rear-naked choke. Round 2 – Solecki lands a punch and takes da Silva to the canvas. Almeida tries a flying knee and the round ends. Argueta lands a combination and shoots for a takedown. He shoves Zhumagulov to the ground and lands a few punches. Argueta is the aggressor, but Jackson is able to grab hold of him and snag his back on the canvas. He finishes the fight with a series of punches and a knee as the buzzer sounds. Blanchfield gets up and lands a body kick before the round ends. They clinch and Michailidis lands a nice knee on the break. Blanchfield is throwing a lot of kicks and knees to the body early.

Stolze catches him on the way in with a knee, and “God of War” someone eats it like a baguette and pulls Stolze down to the mat. Fakhretdinov backs off and slams a knee into the chest, and he turns the corner and trips Fakhretdinov to his knees.
