I think so … A lot of people say if he goes to WWE he’ll get buried, but I think that if MJF went to WWE he would be one of the biggest stars this world has ever seen.” According to Booker, a lot of guys who had made the jump from WWE to TNA during that time were making “a boatload of money,” as opposed to those who had been there since the beginning. “You had those originals there like Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, and those guys … they were getting like the crumbs,” Booker said.

The MJF Situation Is a Major Test for AEW's Relationship With Its Fans (Sports Illustrated)

The biggest story coming out of AEW's Double or Nothing weekend in Las Vegas was the future of its top heel, and arguably the top heel in all of pro wrestling, ...

And they did that because they trusted that AEW was going to deliver—you don’t spend that kind of money with the expectation you are going to be screwed. And the key to this story is that 15,000 fans managed to buy tickets to this sold-out show, and thousands and thousands more wanted to but were unable to, and they spent their money not knowing for sure that Punk was going to be there. This was supposed to be Wardlow’s big day, the biggest win of his life and a star-making performance, but in the end, all people were talking about was MJF. Luckily, MJF was stretchered out in story line afterward, so at the very least they can strap the rocket to Wardlow beginning with this week’s Dynamite. Even when AEW kicked off, he was rightfully skeptical, since the story of “there is a new promoter who has a lot of money who is getting into the business and wants to compete with Vince!” is a story as old as time, and one after another after another has crashed and burned, sometimes spectacularly. In the end, although Pillman convinced Bischoff that they were working together, the only person it benefited was Pillman, when—and this is true—he convinced Bischoff that in order to get the angle over Bischoff should give him a legitimate release from WCW, which Bischoff did, at which point Pillman went and signed with WWF. There is one key difference between Bischoff and Khan, and that is that Khan isn’t telling everyone that this is all real—instead, it appears he’s just not telling anyone anything. In the mid-1990s, Brian Pillman created a “loose cannon” character where the intent was clear: to up his worth and sell to the highest bidder, whether that be WWF or WCW. But by creating a “worked shoot” story line that the company pretended was real, and in doing so lying to all of the wrestlers and WCW employees, promoter Eric Bischoff destroyed their trust in him to the detriment of his company.

"I think taking what's happening in real life, and potential movement and contract negotiations, it's exciting stuff. There was no real, major free-agent market with the top stars crossing promotions, and debuting, and frankly the competition needed to be brought to the biggest stage. Fortunately, an uncensored version of the promo's ending made its way online and you can check it out below.

AEW news: Angry MJF curses Tony Kahn, demands to be fired (ClutchPoints)

MJF's appearance in AEW Dynamite didn't disappoint, as the wrestling superstar unloaded several scathing remarks toward Tony Khan.

MJF cursed at Khan in AEW Dynamite and even demanded the big boss to “fire” him. However after his appearance in this week’s AEW Dynamite, it’s hard to tell whether he’ll still be in the promotion. Heck, it’s even hard to determine whether it is all just part of the theatrics of professional wrestling or there is really a strained relationship with MJF and the AEW president.

I’d be more engaged if I believed). The company’s social media accounts deleted their tweets of the segment shortly after it aired on television. There were a few problems with Russo’s turn of the century booking. Critics are rolling their eyes and comparing it to Vince Russo-era of WCW worked shoots.

Back in the ring, Moxley suplexed Garcia and then hit him with elbows to the head. Once on the stage, music played and then Wardlow headed to the ring where his opponent was waiting… Hogan got in the face of Athena. Anna Jay and Kris Statlander came out to side with Athena. Referees and producers ran out to keep the women apart. She walked out with Stokely Hathaway, Kiera Hogan, and Red Velvet. Hathaway referred to himself as Cargill’s publicist and referred to her as a queen, a goddess, and the TBS Champion. Hathaway said he knew Athena wanted her title shot. MJF said he’s the best in the world because he makes people feel and he doesn’t do a bunch of bullshit to get the fans there. Hardy tried and failed to do the same to Hikuleo. After a little help from Cage, Hardy was able to put the big man down with a Twist of Fate. Hardy and Christian cleared Hikuleo from the ring. A worked up Jericho granted them the Blood and Guts match, then said he would shave Ortiz’s head. Menard took his turn on the mic and said nobody does it better than JAS. Jericho said he knows the fans wanted to sing, but they don’t deserve it. MJF said the problem with Khan is that he has a position of power in the wrestling company when the only position he should be assuming is behind the guardrail with all the fans. He returned to the ramp and took a knee with the belt over his shoulder and then he was joined by the FTR duo of Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler before they all headed to the ring. Punk said he knows he has to get better and that’s what the championship is all about. MJF said the other wrestlers get to settle for being great, but he has to be perfect.

MJF Is Now Pro Wrestling's Hottest Star After Explosive Promo on ... (Bleacher Report)

Professional wrestling is, was and always will be at its very best when rooted in reality, as fans witnessed Wednesday night when MJF stood in the center of ...

Probably. Was it part of an expertly concocted plan by MJF and Khan to take real-life animosity and project it on television, for the sake of the show and possibly public therapy? He was given the floor to voice his frustrations and, even if Khan was in on the whole thing, it works for all involved. And therein lies the beauty of it: Even if this is a work, that is hardly a bad thing. He talked about his frustration over his perceived value, namedropped WWE when talking about the new guys Khan has paid exorbitant amounts of money for and said he no longer wants to be in AEW. His frustration and anger over the lack of reciprocity by Khan is absolutely fair. From there, he would battle Jon Moxley for the AEW world title in a feud that further proved his ability to hang with top-tier talent.

Kenny Omega taking place, not to mention a women's title bout pitting Britt Baker against Ruby Soho and the dream match of Sting and Darby Allin vs. And if Tony Khan is not willing to shell out some cash and address his other concerns, McMahon absolutely will, and MJF will be a massive loss for the company he has been a significant part of since day one. It was in 2021, with the dream match of Bryan Danielson vs. MJF made mention of the former WWE guys in his pipebomb promo Wednesday night on Dynamite and how Tony Khan "hoards" his money to bring them in. MJF stuck around, though, and the match went down as scheduled, but that did not necessarily represent a reconciliation with management. It is also no surprise that McMahon would want to bring MJF in to WWE, even if he is a bit of a malcontent in AEW. The 26-year-old is one of the best heels of this generation, can go word-for-word on the mic with anyone and has a penchant for performing between the ropes at his best when the moment calls for it.
