Moore was named a team captain for his last season with Virginia and continued to do what has made him one of the most successful players in the country. He finished tenth in country in total points (67) and became just the fifth Cavalier in program history to reach the 100 goals and 100 assists marks. Moore’s incredible season saw him finish second all-time among Cavalier freshman in goals and points (34), and he was aptly named the ACC Freshman of the Year and to the All-ACC Tournament Team. Leading Virginia to 17-3, Moore helped the Cavaliers reach the sport’s pinnacle as they were crowned NCAA Champions. He contributed 10 goals and 11 assists in the tournament and was named to the All-Tournament Team. Moore was also honored as an All-ACC and ACC All-Tournament Team selection, as well as a USILA All-America honorable mention, after winning the ACC Tournament with the Cavaliers. When a coach (Saban) who makes $9.5 million annually can argue in a public square about pay and who has the right to recruit the best “bucks” who should be paid nothing, it’s a form. People and/or “bucks” who are at the bottom are only valued by how successful and rich they make the top. The fact that Saban is questioning why a top “buck” recruit wouldn’t just flock to him, have the audacity to choose an HBCU, argue about not compensating them for their services and worry about losing power should cause many to reflect.

The Big Red also captured the North Coast Athletic Conference Regular-Season Championship for the second straight year and won the NCAC Tournament Championship for the third straight season. Lippman finished with a three-hitter to his credit and allowed only one walk against the Sea Gulls. Both of Lippman's complete games on the year came during the postseason, starting with an 8-1 win over the College of Wooster in the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament Championship game in which he allowed just four hits, one run and one walk while striking out 14 Wooster batters. Lippman made 16 appearances and eight starts on the mound this year, tossing 63.1 total innings and finishing 7-1 with three saves. Lippman becomes the third D3baseball.com All-American produced by the Big Red program. He allowed 42 hits, 14 total runs and 11 earned runs while issuing only 16 walks and striking out a team-best 98 batters.
