MLB Odds: Yankees-Rays prediction, odds and pick - 5/27/2022 (ClutchPoints)

Happy Friday folks! Join us for our MLB odds series, where our Yankees-Rays prediction and pick will be revealed.

However, beating the Yankees by multiple runs is a lot to as for any team at this point, and it is probably wise to put your money on the Rays after New York showed that they can bury you in the blink of an eye. Clearly, a unit that is near the upper half of teams in 2022, the Rays have the twelfth most runs generated in the majors with 191 and have an above-average slugging percentage at .391. With a knee-buckling changeup that leaves opposing hitters way out front, Springs will need to be clicking on all cylinders to keep this feared New York lineup in check. The fifth-highest scoring squad in baseball, the Yankees would be smart to copy their winning formula from yesterday into today’s matchup with the Rays by attacking Tampa Bay’s starter and bullpen with a flurry of runs. New York then followed that inning up with another run in the 7th and then a three spot in the 9th, as they showcased their ability to cross the plate in a hurry. For the casual fans and sports bettors that only check box scores, don’t look too down on Tampa Bay heading into Friday evening’s matchup, as yesterday was a stalemate of a game for a majority of the night.

Yankees vs Rays Picks and Predictions: New York Bats' Get ... (Covers.com)

MLB odds, picks, and predictions for New York Yankees at Tampa Bay Rays on May 27. MLB betting free picks for moneyline and Over/Under.

The Under is actually 11-5-2 in the last 18 games in which New York has played as a road underdog, and it’s also 10-4-2 in the last 16 games in which Tampa Bay has played as a favorite. All in all, it just wouldn’t be surprising if he gave Tampa Bay five or six innings of dominant pitching against a New York lineup that can be strike-out heavy in its pursuit for home runs. Springs has one of the best changeups in the entire league right now. Even against a Yankees lineup that has been great against lefties, it’s just hard not to see the Rays as the right play here. With that in mind, the Rays will like their chances of winning this game a bit more, even if Taillon has been awesome to start the year. The team might not score a lot of runs in this one, but three or so could be all the group will need. Since opening at +100, the Rays have now become the favorites in this meeting with the Yankees. The total has been a little more straightforward, as it opened at 7.5 and hasn’t moved off that number. Taillon likely won’t give up more than three runs with the way he’s spinning it right now, but Springs is plenty capable of completely shutting down anyone. The Under has hit in each of Springs’ last two starts. The Rays are 7-3 in their last 10 games against right-handed starters. Jeffrey Springs (2-1, 1.32 ERA): Springs opened the year as a reliever and is now being stretched out and used as a starter. Talent has never been an issue for the right-hander, who has dealt with a lot throughout his time in the majors.

MLB Odds, Picks, Predictions for Yankees vs. Rays: Bet New York ... (The Action Network)

Nick Shlain previews Friday's MLB game between the Yankees and Rays, including betting odds and a prediction.

Outside of Aaron Judge, Anthony Rizzo and Gleyber Torres, none of the Yankees projected lineup have an ISO above .100 against left-handed pitching this year. He’s been very stingy with free passes this year as his Walk Percentage is just 2% and that should serve him well here against a patient Rays lineup. The New York Yankees enter play Friday night with a 32-13 record, the best in all of baseball. Springs has only made four starts for Tampa Bay, but they’ve all come in his last five appearances. Springs is a solid pitcher and the Yankees are dealing with some injuries to their lineup and bullpen, but they still have the early frontrunner for the American League Most Valuable Player award, Aaron Judge, in the lineup and Taillon is a solid pitcher in his own right. In his last start, he completed five innings for the first time all season and struck out seven batters against the Orioles.

Yankees vs. Rays prediction: Picks, odds, live stream, TV channel ... (DraftKings Nation)

We go over how to watch Friday's game between the Yankees and Rays and make some picks.

The Yankees third baseman recorded a hit in his last three games and as a switch-hitter, and he is much better against left-handed pitchers. Both pitchers have thrown the ball well in just about every game they’ve played in 2022 so when runs will be hard to come by, let’s go with the team with the better offense. Tampa Bay (26-18) swept the two-game series with the Miami Marlins earlier this week but lost the first game of this series. The New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays square off on Friday with first pitch set for 7:10 p.m. ET. The game takes place at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida and will only be available on local TV or through an MLB.tv subscription. New York (32-13) will head into Friday with the best record in the MLB, coming off a three-game winning streak. Taillon made eight starts in 2022 and has a 2.95 ERA, allowing less than 3 runs in seven appearances this season.

Yankees vs. Rays prediction and odds for Friday, May 27: New York ... (Yardbarker)

While not a huge deal, it is significant for the “best team in baseball” to go on a losing streak against such weak opponents. Tonight, the Yankees don't have ...

"Maybe there's a package of plays that he can put in that help the Raiders, maybe in game-time situations." WynnBET has the round total set at 5.5 with the OVER set at -130 and the UNDER set at +110. At plus-money, I'm going to back the UNDER 5.5 rounds. The Miami Heat have been battling a lot of injuries in the Eastern Conference Finals against Boston. As a result, they’ve looked for center Bam Adebayo to pick up the slack, but he has struggled to do so. "I think he knows this is his football team and he's working like it on the field and he's leading the way that we want him to lead and he's doing all the right things," McDaniels added about Carr. "I couldn't ask more from Derek Carr and very pleased with what he's doing so far." Jeffery Springs gets the start for the Rays in what will be his fifth start of the year. He went off for 31 points in Miami’s Game 3 win, but as Van Gundy noted, Robert Williams sat out that game for Boston. In the other four games of the series, he has been held to 10, 6, 9 and 18 points. Jeffery Springs gets the start for the Rays in what will be his fifth start of the year. I knew that thousands more wouldn’t understand the gesture and would take it as an offense to the military, to veterans, to themselves." I knew that thousands of people were using this game to escape the horrors of the world for just a little bit. "When I was the same age as the children in Uvalde, my father taught me to stand for the pledge of allegiance when I believed my country was representing its people well or to protest and stay seated when it wasn’t. I don’t believe it is representing us well right now," Kapler wrote. Tonight, the Yankees don’t have the luxury of playing a weak team with Tampa Bay on the schedule. Taillon faced the Orioles three times already this year, but, he also faced the Blue Jays three times and was no worse for the wear.
