In Gulf Shores, Public Works Director Noel Hand said there is plenty on the beaches there as well and still coming in. (OBA) – In an effort to provide a satisfactory Memorial Day weekend for our incoming guests, Gulf State Park is undertaking a cleanup of the Sargassum seaweed in front of beach access locations where beachgoers concentrate. “While we work hard to clean the shorelines, please keep in mind that the seaweed is still present in the water and continuously washing ashore,” a park social media post states.
