2021-22 All-NBA Teams: Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo ... (CBSSports.com)

LeBron James extended his record of All-NBA selections to 18.

Along with Embiid, Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant, Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant, Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry and Chicago Bulls forward DeMar DeRozan were also named to the Second Team. Durant now has 10 All-NBA selections to his name. Behind James, Paul has the most All-NBA selections among active players with 11. Based on that stat, it seems safe to say that the future of the league is in good hands.

How All-NBA team voting results changes max contract and salary ... (Sporting News)

First Team: Luka Doncic, Devin Booker, Jayson Tatum, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Jokic; Second Team: Ja Morant, Stephen Curry, DeMar DeRozan, Kevin Durant, ...

The most he can sign with the Bulls is a five-year, $212.3 million contract. The most he can sign with another team is a four-year, $157.4 million contract. The first season of his extension is 2022-23. Those 15 players are split between three teams based on their position and how many First Team, Second Team and Third Team votes they receive. The No. 2 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, this marks Morant's first All-NBA selection, so he'll have to earn an All-NBA selection next season to be eligible for a supermax extension that could be worth over $220 million. In 2018, Booker signed a five-year, $158 million extension with the Suns. While he still has two more seasons remaining on his contract, earning an All-NBA selection makes him eligible to sign a four-year, $211 million supermax extension this offseason.

Trae Young's All-NBA Selection Hurts Hawks Salary Cap (Sports Illustrated)

In August 2021, the Atlanta Hawks and Young agreed to a five-year, $207 million contract extension which kicks in during the 2022-23 season. Now that Young has ...

The Hawks have only nine players on the books for next season and have already publicly committed to upgrading the roster this offseason. Now that Young has been named to an All-NBA team, it enacts the supermax clause of his contract, netting him an extra $35 million roughly, including $6.1 million more for just next season. Last night was life-changing for Trae Young and his entire family.

What the 2022 All-NBA team results mean for 6 NBA stars (For The Win)

Nikola Jokic — the back-to-back MVP this season — made it to the first team alongside Luka Doncic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Devin Booker, and Jayson Tatum. Each ...

Instead, the most he can earn in his free agency is $212 million. LaVine is one of the most interesting free agents available this offseason. This also resulted in a $6.1 million cap hit for the Hawks, who are now $7.8 million over the luxury tax. That is the same offseason in which Anthony Edwards can also sign an extension worth $190 million. Booker has two years left on his deal, and the extension wouldn’t kick in until 2024-25. This means that there was a prevision in Young’s contract stating that if he made All-NBA (or won MVP or Defensive Player of the Year, the latter of which was never going to happen), his contract would get bumped from 25 percent of the salary cap to 30 percent of the salary cap.

3 young stars with best chance to make first All-NBA Team in 2022 ... (ClutchPoints)

Young stars like Luka Doncic, Jayson Tatum, and Devin Booker have all solidified their statuses and made their marks as members of the elite list. However, ...

Like Jaylen Brown, it seems Donovan Mitchell has been around for quite a while, but he’s still considered one of the younger stars in the league at the age of 25. With him being the focal point of the Charlotte Hornets, it wouldn’t be hard to think that he’s already on his way toward being a legitimate superstar in the near future. The Boston Celtics already have a great talent in Jayson Tatum as their main guy. In just his second year in the league, Ball averaged 20.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 7.6 assists in 75 games played. Moreover, some of them still need a year or two to truly mature into legitimate stars in the league. However, aside from them, the NBA still has a ton of youthful talent that has yet to gain significant recognition.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Named to 2022 All-NBA First Team (Brew Hoop)

He garners 100 out of 100 first team votes for the fourth year in a row.

Looking at other forward vote earners, I find it hard to believe Giannis losing his first-team spot for years to come so long as he remains healthy. In the end, Jokic and Antetokounmpo will split first-team honors, while guy who was just happy to be there Joel Embiid takes a second-team spot. As I’ve previously noted, Giannis had taken his already phenomenal abilities up another notch, especially to start the season when star running mates Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday went down to injury/Covid. That, and the loss of Brook Lopez meant that Antetokounmpo had to trade in his poaching defensive instincts for a true center hard hat. 2018-19: 100/100 More impressively, perhaps, is that this isn’t the first clean sweep of his career. While the season did not finish in a way we’d all have loved, that doesn’t mean there wasn’t plenty of play to be proud of.

Devin Booker and Jayson Tatum were also voted to the All-NBA first team on Tuesday, the first time in 67 years all five players were age 27 or younger.

Philadelphia’s Joel Embiid, the NBA’s leading scorer and runner-up to Jokic for MVP, led the second team. Milwaukee’s Antetokounmpo was the only player to receive all 100 possible first-team votes and finished with 500 points in his fourth consecutive first-team selection. Giannis Antetokounmpo, fellow two-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic, Devin Booker and Jayson Tatum were voted to the All-NBA first team on Tuesday, the first time in 67 years all five players were age 27 or younger.

Jalen Rose voted Kyrie Irving to an All-NBA team (Nets Wire)

The debates over Nikola Jokic vs. Joel Embiid for league MVP are still raging, but now that NBA award voting season has concluded, one of the strangest ...

In his 29 games, the Nets posted a losing record of 14-15, which included a losing streak of eight games in which Irving started. A surprise vote such as this can be fodder for daytime television segments across Get Up, First Take and Rose’s own Jalen & Jacoby show, so why not raise some eyebrows with a low-value pick that won’t really affect the outcome? The issue, however, is whether Irving’s offensive brilliance in just 29 appearances make up for the numerous other issues on his resume.
