That season he averaged 12.5 yards per return and led the league with 411 total punt return yards. He made big impacts in the return game, too, and was named a First-Team All-Pro for his punt return prowess in 2018. As a dual-threat weapon, he racked up 1,101 rushing yards, 1,575 receiving yards and 14 total touchdowns in 51 career games.

Former Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen has suffered yet another injury, this one appears to be to his right leg. Watch the segment where it occurred.

As Cohen can be seen addressing the area on video shortly after the injury occurs, it appears to be to his lower right leg, and the pop obviously isn’t an ideal sound for a quick recovery. In theory, an ACL tear takes players off the field for about a full season, usually placing them on track to be ready for the start of a new year, depending on when the injury occurred. Shortly after signing a four-year, $17.25 million contract extension with the Bears in Sept. of 2020, Cohen has played in just three NFL games since.

There is no requirement for you, the NFL consuming public, to feel sorry for Cohen, who injured his Achilles live Tuesday on Instagram. He was training to return from an ACL injury that he suffered early in 2020. He was supposed to be the shifty back with the athleticism to score from anywhere, and goodness was Cohen athletic. What happened to Tarik Cohen is part of the game.
