Ric Flair, the 73-year-old pro wrestling legend, announced Monday he will wrestle his final match on July 31 at The Fairgrounds in Nashville.

The match will take place at an event associated with the Starrcast wrestling fan convention in Nashville the day after WWE hosts SummerSlam in the same city.
He would wrestle around the world, including stints in Japan and WWE, but his time as an NWA and WCW staple define his claim to being one of the best to ever lace up a pair of wrestling boots. At WrestleMania 24, after several other retirement matches throughout the years, he lost an emotional match to Shawn Michaels with his career on the line. According to the Starrcast website, the event is "under the banner of Jim Crockett Promotions." It is being produced by Triller-affiliated Thuzio and will stream live on Fite TV.
The show, called “Jim Crockett Promotions Presents: Ric Flair's Last Match,” will stream live on Fite TV. Flair's opponent has yet to be announced.
He also appeared in a music video with Latin star Bad Bunny, who was crowned the most streamed musician on Spotify for two years in a row. The pro-wrestling mogul who is doted on in the hip-hop community starred in a music video with rapper Offset for the 2018 rap song “Ric Flair Drip,” which is notably named after Flair. At 73 years old, “The Nature Boy” will square off in the ring one last time.

His match will be l ive streamed on FITE, which is the premier global streaming platform for sports and entertainment with more than 1,000 pay-per-view events per year. Flair has been on the SEC scene over the past few years as his stepchildren have attended Georgia, Florida and Auburn. He has taken to social media for fans’ help on which SEC team to back. “I’m going to walk that aisle one last time to prove once and for all that to be the Man, you’ve got to beat the Man,” Flair said in a statement to ESPN.
