It was a heck of a series for newcomer Jake Oettinger, but the rest of the Dallas Stars couldn't get it together on Sunday.

The Flames tied it at 2 in the second period on Tkachuk's goal a second after a minor penalty by Dallas expired. Tyler Seguin was at the side of the net when he fed Benn in the mid-slot and the Stars captain beat Markstrom stick side. "It's going to be a lot of fun, good for the province, going to be a lot of fun for them, for us. Oettinger became the second player in NHL history to have 60 or more saves in a Game 7 since 1955, when shots on goal were first tracked. "You go into overtime with Jake, you know it's going to take a perfect shot to beat him, and it was a perfect shot," Stars coach Rick Bowness said. It's going to be a pretty cool series."

Jake Oettinger, a 2016 Lakeville North graduate made 64 saves before giving up the winning goal in overtime of Calgary's 3-2 win over Dallas.

"I have a lot of stuff I want to work on," Oettinger said. "I feel like I'm just scratching the surface of where I'm going to be one day. "I think I can be a great goalie for a long time. "It's really sad and some of those guys, you don't know if you're ever going to play with them again," Oettinger said. Oettinger was always billed as the team's next franchise goalie. Vancouver in 2007 (229) as the most in Dallas Stars history. He was a first-round pick in 2017, taken between Miro Heiskanen (No. 3) and Jason Robertson (No. 39) with the 26th pick. He was Dallas' first-round draft pick in 2017 and played two games during the 2019-2020 NHL playoff.
