The Pittsburgh Steelers' 2021 season is over, already eliminated from the postseason after suffering a 42-21 loss at the hands of Patrick Mahomes and the.
They open on the road against the Bengals before hosting the Patriots and then moving on to their first primetime game in Cleveland—with or without Deshaun Watson, we don’t yet know. They don’t have any more than two games in a row at home or on the road. These are the sorts of topics among many others that we have been exploring on a daily basis and will continue to do so.
The Pittsburgh Steelers have a lot of intriguing matchups this year, but you are going to want to circle your calendar for these three games.
If Pittsburgh loses on the road the first time around, this game is going to be huge. This Week 11 game should really show us who each of these teams are at this point. In addition, they will have five primetime games this year.
The team has gone about replacing him by signing Mitchell Trubisky to a two-year contract and drafting Kenny Pickett in the first round. Trubisky comes to ...
Trubisky is going to be an improvement simply because of his ability to create out of the pocket. The Steelers ranked 23rd in Football Outsiders' DVOA metric last season, making them one of the worst teams ever to make the playoffs by that metric. The Cleveland Browns just added Deshaun Watson to a roster that was arguably a quarterback away from being a Super Bowl favorite. That said, the AFC North's common games are pretty weak. Based on their opponents' 2021 records, the Steelers have the 12th-hardest schedule in football next season. Pickett will be playing his pro career in the same stadium where he starred at college.
It's time for a new era of Steelers football as the team enters its first season with a new starting quarterback since Ben Roethlisberger's rookie year in ...

The Pittsburgh Steelers 2022 schedule has been released. Here is my early game-by-game predictions for the upcoming season.
Here are my game-by-game predictions for the Pittsburgh Steelers following the NFL schedule release: Pittsburgh had their number for so many years, but this is certainly a different Bengals team than what we are used to seeing. This ended up being dangerously close to their 9-7-1 record last year.
The Steelers will need to get their quarterback situation solved in a hurry as the early part of their schedule is challenging.
The Steelers will have three wins at the bye week. Not only are the first five games tough, but every game before the bye will be difficult for a new quarterback to navigate. Whether that’s Kenny Pickett starting from the beginning and deftly adjusting to the NFL learning curve or Mitch Trubisky commanding Matt Canada’s offense, whoever takes over the starting job will have to hit the ground running, literally. The first time around, the Steelers lost by two scores, and Bengals receiver -- and Pitt product -- Tyler Boyd said the Steelers ‘gave up.’ Then, in the final game between the two in Cincinnati, the Bengals thumped the Steelers 41-10 in a game that felt like Cincinnati’s coronation as the kings of the AFC North. Once the little brother of the division, the Bengals are coming off a hot season, and the Steelers want to get off to a fast start in the post-Roethlisberger era. While the Steelers’ schedule isn’t as tough as a year ago, they still start out with a gauntlet of difficult games, including a season opener against the Super Bowl runners up. Dec. 24 vs. Dec. 11: vs. Oct. 16: vs. Nov. 20: vs. Oct. 2: vs. Nov. 13: vs. The NFL expanded to 17 regular-season games last season.
Kenny Pickett's fiancée, Amy Paternoster, is ready for some football, celebrating the Steelers' 2022 schedule release on Thursday.
I can’t wait to see all of the amazing things you have yet to accomplish. Pickett had been one of the most notable quarterback prospects this year in what was considered by many as a weak class. Fortunately, the celebrations for Pickett got underway a short time after.

The NFL has unveiled complete 2022 regular season schedules, including for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and we now know the order of games Pittsburgh will.
Two of the team’s final three games (and three of their final five) are at home, while the Steelers are currently slated to play either 1 PM (eleven of them) or primetime games (five of them) this year. Other notable games on the schedule include Tom Brady’s Bucs coming to town Week 6 and a Week 10 game at home versus the Saints. Pittsburgh plays on the road in back-to-back weeks twice, Weeks 7-8 and Weeks 12-13. After playing preseason games against Seattle, Jacksonville, and Detroit (no more Panthers preseason finales), Pittsburgh will open the season at Cincinnati for a Week 1 Sunday afternoon game. They’ll finish their primetime slate with a Christmas Eve game, a Saturday matchup, against the Las Vegas Raiders. The Steelers will then face the Cleveland Browns in Week 3 for their first primetime game of the season, a Thursday night contest in Cleveland. Steelers’ fans will now closely watch Deshaun Watson’s status and if he’ll face suspension prior to the season, or if the NFL will wait for Watson’s civil matters to conclude, which likely won’t occur until after the year. Their 2022 schedule is highlighted by five primetime games.
Even when the Pittsburgh Steelers aren't among the NFL elite, the league understands the fan base. This is why every season the Steelers typically are among ...
It will all depend on what happens with the Steelers at quarterback this season. Looking at those five games, given the strong history of the Steelers in prime-time games, 4-1 doesn’t seem out of the question at all. Even when the Pittsburgh Steelers aren’t among the NFL elite, the league understands the fan base.
Another option is Kenny Pickett, the No. 20 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. He looked like a superstar at Pitt, where he was named the ACC Player of the Year for ...
Pittsburgh will be one of the many losses dictating why that will be. Expect to see the Steelers pass rush looking dominant and a few turnovers gifted from a harried Lamar Jackson. Prediction: L This time, not for a classic quarterback duel with his old opponent Ben Roethlisberger, but instead to dishearten whichever signal caller is starting for the black and yellow. Prediction: L Sadly, they may smack some reality into a team that could be riding the highs of an early-season winning streak. Prediction: L Zach Wilson could be in for a very stressful day. If Jacoby Brissett is under center when Pittsburgh visit Cleveland for their Thursday Night Football matchup, this could be a footing-establishing victory. Prediction: L Mitch Trubisky is the third option and it is expected that he or Pickett will get the starting role. He has been a main-stay in their offense since the 2003 season and it will be bizarre to see someone else under center.
Check out the Steelers' full 2022 schedule, which they have to feel good about regardless of who's under center.
Depending on how QB works out, the Steelers could be right there with their divisional rivals. And if so, can the team navigate its much-improved division? Offseason free-agent signing Mitchell Trubisky and first-round pick Kenny Pickett will battle it out to replace Roethlisberger.
Now that the schedule has been released, it's time to see the opening betting lines and over/unders for the Steelers 17 games.
Baltimore Ravens @ Pittsburgh Steelers (+2) The Steelers are most heavily favored in 2022 in Week 4 when they host the New York Jets and currently hold a 3.5-point spread. Factors such as new signings or injuries could cause the lines to move slightly. Last season, the only visiting team who was favored in the opening lines in May at Heinz Field was the Baltimore Ravens, a game the Steelers won 20-19. The Steelers are favored in two games on the road, both of which are against the NFC South. There are no lines in regards to the Cleveland Browns for the entire season based on the uncertainty of the possible suspension of Deshaun Watson. We here at Behind The Steel Curtain were no different as several of our podcasters gave their predictions for the 2022 season.
