The Green Bay Packers schedule for the upcoming 2022-23 NFL season was released on Thursday, May 12.
McCarthy coached the Packers from 2006 to 2018 before he was fired after Week 13 of the season. The Packers are set to face the New York Giants at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Oct. 9, the NFL announced May 4. Including the postseason, the Packers have won each of the last four home games against the Rams, outscoring them 116-59. Week 2 brings a division opponent at home for the fifth consecutive season when the Packers and Bears face off. It is also just the second time ever that Green Bay has played at Minnesota in Week 1. - Week 16: @ Miami Dolphins; Dec. 25, 12 p.m. kickoff on FOX - Week 13: @ Chicago Bears; Dec. 4, 12 p.m. kickoff on FOX - Week 10: vs Dallas Cowboys; Nov. 13, 3:25 p.m. kickoff on FOX - Week 9: @ Detroit Lions; Nov. 6, 12 p.m. kickoff on FOX - Week 7: @ Washington Commanders; Oct. 23, 12 p.m. kickoff on FOX - Week 6: vs New York Jets; Oct. 16, 12 p.m. kickoff on FOX - Week 1: @ Minnesota Vikings; Sept. 11, 3:25 p.m. kickoff on FOX
Week 1 is the most important game on any new schedule because it is the first. But Matt LaFleur isn't shying away from the importance of a few more dates on ...
Sure, there's a benefit to playing two of those three games at home, but a lack of a week off will add to the challenge of what is already a long regular season. "We were fortunate to have that game sandwiched with a home game versus New England and then coming back versus the Jets." The Packers could have a tougher matchup for their London debut than the New York Giants, but challenges remain in crossing the Atlantic Ocean to play an NFL game. "Well, it's actually personally my third time going, you know, over to England," the Packers coach said. They're a great football team, obviously, you know, adding Tom back into the mix presents a lot of problems for everybody." But Matt LaFleur isn't shying away from the importance of a few more dates on Green Bay's calendar this fall.
The Green Bay Packers have a notable built-in disadvantage to their schedule during the 2022 regular season: rest. If all teams played on Sunday, ...
The mini-bye week advantage comes into play for the Packers before facing the Philadelphia Eagles in November, Overall, the Packers will gain seven days of rest advantage before playing two playoff teams from the NFC in 2021. Overall, the Packers play three games with a significant rest differential working against them (Washington, Buffalo, Dallas), and they’ll have a multiple-day rest advantage in two games (Philadelphia, Los Angeles), so the net result isn’t necessarily great. The Packers do get a bye week before hosting the Los Angeles Rams in December, although the advantage is negated slightly by the Rams playing the previous Thursday night. The Packers also play the Jets just seven days after playing the Giants in London, which will require a grueling transatlantic flight there and back. But in Week 1, Team A plays on Thursday night, and Team B plays on Sunday. Team A would then go into Week 2 with a three-day rest advantage – 10 days for Team A compared to just seven for Team B. Let’s say Team A and Team B play in Week 2.
Reigning NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers have been on the brink of a Super Bowl appearance the last three seasons but can't seem to break ...
The game is set for Monday, Dec. 19, at 8:15 p.m. ET in Green Bay. Green Bay will have the challenge of defending Allen. This matchup is set for Sunday Oct. 30 at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC. The Packers-Rams matchup late in the season could be an NFC Championship preview. Brady will be Green Bay heading to Buffalo to play Josh Allen and the high-powered Bills. Rodgers will have to deal with the top-ranked Bills defense from a season ago. It will be a rematch of the 2020 NFC Championship at Raymond James Stadium at 4:25 p.m. Sept. 25 and can be seen on FOX. But the team's construction is much different from last season.
The Packers have won 13 games each of the last three seasons. Will Aaron Rodgers lead another NFC title run against a challenging schedule?
— — — The 2-2 home playoff record in the playoffs is a different story, but that’s one Rodgers and LaFleur will try to rectify in the postseason. The Packers likely will have a prime-time presence as usual. Green Bay does have eight games against playoff teams from 2021, and all of those games are outside the division. The Packers have eight games against teams that had winning records last season. — — — — —
Green Bay Packers open their season in Minnesota, then host the Bears at Lambeau Field. The 2022 schedule has plenty of other interesting elements.
The Nov. 17 game is on a Thursday night, not the optimal time for Gold package holders, who are largely from southern Wisconsin. They avoided getting tabbed for Thanksgiving. - Week 17, Jan. 1, Sunday, Minnesota Vikings, 3:25 p.m. - Week 12, Nov. 27, Sunday, at Philadelphia Eagles, 7:20 p.m. - Week 8, Oct. 30, Sunday, at Buffalo Bills, 7:20 p.m. - Week 10, Nov. 13, Sunday, Dallas Cowboys, 3:25 p.m. Their first home game will be Sept. 18 on "Sunday Night Football" against the Chicago Bears. - Week 4, Oct. 2, Sunday, New England Patriots, 3:25 p.m. - Week 3, Sept. 25, Sunday, at Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 3:25 p.m. - Week 1, Sept. 11, Sunday, at Minnesota Vikings, 3:25 p.m. - Week 2, Sept. 18, Sunday, Chicago Bears, 7:20 p.m. The NFL released its full schedule Thursday night after a day of anxious leaking all over social media.
There are always some schedule leaks on Thursday, but the Packers couldn't even wait that long as these came out on Wednesday night. Of the 17 games that the ...
The Packers would be playing in the early game with a kickoff time of 1 p.m. ET. Of the other eight games, there are two extremely fascinating nuggets if all of these leaks are in fact correct. Week 10: Cowboys at Packers (Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET) Week 17: Vikings at Packers (Sunday) Week 6: Jets at Packers (Sunday at 1 p.m. ET) Week 4: Patriots at Packers (Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET)
The Green Bay Packers managed to avoid upheaval this offseason. Reigning MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers agreed to return to the team on a new four-year deal, ...
But Rodgers is back with a vengeance, and he will be trying to lead Green Bay to the Super Bowl for the first time since 2010. Despite the soft schedule, the Packers won't fall into complacency. The Green Bay Packers managed to avoid upheaval this offseason. According to The Red Zone, Green Bay's strength of schedule ranks 22nd based on last year's winning percentage. Green Bay was able to sign veteran receiver Sammy Watkins and traded up in the second round to draft wideout Christian Watson to help fill the void left by Adams. The Lions' biggest offseason move was selecting defensive end Aidan Hutchinson with the No. 2 overall pick in this year's draft.
No breaks early, but two late rest periods could prove beneficial.
It won't be easy, and the players are going to get worn down. In 2022, the Packers are going to be waiting awhile for their short break and even longer for their full one. "The season is hopefully going to be one of those seasons where our guys kind of bond together as we go through it," Gutekunst said. Indianapolis was the first one, in 2016, and then three teams followed suit in 2017 – Baltimore, Jacksonville and Miami. Well, the short answer is the Packers didn't want it then. Those two areas of respite are among the first things players look for when the schedule comes out.
Aaron Rodgers took a long time to determine his future, but ultimately he decided to commit to Green Bay for the foreseeable future. He and the Packers agreed ...
- Week 5: Sunday, October 9 vs. - Week 4: Sunday, October 2 vs. They are also set to face the Giants in London in what is designated as a “home game” for Green Bay. First, they signed veteran wide receiver Sammy Watkins, then they drafted Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs in hopes of combining to make up Adams’s production last year. While the Packers are happy their quarterback has returned, not every key piece is back. That game only began a strange offseason, where Green Bay entered with a ton of uncertainty.
Green Bay could be primed to exceed its yearly win total of the past three years. Here's the 2022 schedule.
The Packers won’t match LaFleur’s win totals in each of his first three seasons; they will exceed it. All they have to do is go 4-3 in their remaining games. The Packers will be on the other end of a revenge game against the Cowboys on Nov. 13, when Mike McCarthy will coach his first game against the team he coached for nearly 13 seasons. The Packers’ over/under win total is 11. The Packers fired McCarthy with four games left in the 2018 season. It’s the first time the Packers will see the Buccaneers since Tom Brady & Co. upset them in the 2020 NFC title game, 31-26 at Lambeau Field. This will be only the fifth meeting between Aaron Rodgers and Brady, who has won three of the last four. Also, they get a mini bye after their Thursday night game in Week 11. Last year, they didn’t have their bye until Week 13, and that helped them get healthy and refreshed for the stretch run. The NFL now leaves it up to the teams playing overseas if they want to take their bye the following week. The NFL expanded to 17 regular-season games last season. Oct. 9: vs. Oct. 2: vs.
The entire 17-game regular-season schedule for the Green Bay Packers in 2022 is here.
Vikings Packers vs. Packers vs. Bears Packers vs. Dolphins Packers vs. Bears Packers vs. Bucs Packers vs.
The NFL's schedule-makers did the Green Bay Packers no favors in placing their bye weeks.
In his Rams debut, Matthew Stafford finished sixth in rating (102.9), third in yards (4,886) and second in touchdowns (41). He also chucked 17 interceptions; a dropped interception in the NFC Championship vs. From 2015 through 2019, the Vikings recorded five consecutive top-10 finishes in points allowed. Top receiver Cooper Kupp led the NFL with 145 receptions, 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns during the regular season, then led the NFL with 33 receptions for 478 yards and six more touchdowns in the postseason. The trade of premier receiver A.J. Brown won’t help matters; the return of running back Derrick Henry, on the other hand, could be his salvation. Rodgers led the NFL with a 111.9 passer rating; Prescott was third with a mark of 104.2. The Lions finished 31st in points allowed last season. But he threw a league-worst 15 interceptions with the Eagles in 2020, then lost to Las Vegas and Jacksonville in the final games of 2021 to keep the Colts out of the playoffs. Brady has thrown 86 touchdown passes in playoff games, almost as many as the next two players (Rodgers and Joe Montana with 45 apiece) combined. Pregame warmups: The Giants fired coach Joe Judge after two years on the job and replaced him with Brian Daboll, who built Josh Allen into a star in Buffalo. Quarterback Danny Jones, the sixth pick in the 2019 draft, has thrown 21 touchdowns vs. With another season of 10 wins, Belichick will become the third coach in NFL history with 300 career victories. For bye weeks, the Packers got the short end of the stick twice in a span of three weeks for marquee games. If Team A plays on Sunday and Team B plays on Sunday, when Team A plays Team B the following week, there is no advantage.
If the Packers can have success through a brutal stretch in the middle of the season, they could be set up well to earn a third straight 1-seed in the NFC.
Tampa Bay, FL As an added knife-twist, even the Packers’ post-bye opponents have an especially long “normal” week of rest, helping to minimize any potential rest advantage that Green Bay may have. Twice, the Packers will play a team that is coming off a bye; those games come against the Dallas Cowboys in week 10 and the Buffalo Bills in week 8 — and both of those franchises were playoff teams in 2021. Their Monday night game in week 15 comes out of their bye, giving them a full 14 days of rest between their matchups with the Bears at Soldier Field and hosting the Rams at Lambeau on Monday, December 19th. Their trips to Buffalo (week 8) and Philadelphia (week 12) also come in the premier time slot on NBC, with that Eagles game taking place on Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend. Still, any run of three weeks in a row on the road is a rough go. Really, the rough patch of travel starts with that London game, which leads into the home game against the Jets in week 6. Any head coach for a playoff-caliber NFL team will tell you that they would prefer to have their bye later in the season, as it helps their team prepare for a stretch run to clinch a division title and hopefully a high playoff seed. Rather, the Packers will have a 12 Noon kickoff a week after playing six time zones away, effectively putting them on short rest when they face a team led by the best man in LaFleur’s wedding, Robert Saleh. However, the biggest issue with the Packers’ scheduling around their London game is the fact that they do not have a bye week following their trip across the pond. Green Bay will play the home team opposite the “visiting” New York Giants in week five, with fans in the United States facing an early wake-up call for a 9:30 AM Eastern/6:30 AM Pacific kickoff. In a few respects, the Green Bay Packers got lucky with their schedule for the 2022 NFL season.
