Can Quarterback Matthew Stafford and the Rams Repeat as Super Bowl Champions? Do the Cowboys Return to the Big Game With the Easiest Slate?
But what the Texans do not have will be the point of emphasis in Week 13. The first month of the season is reasonable, but even that hinges on the availability of quarterback Deshaun Watson. If Watson is suspended, the Browns will likely be grinding out every victory in a brutal AFC just for the opportunity to qualify for the postseason. They play in a tough division and have to face multiple teams expecting to make Super Bowl runs this season, but the Bengals should be in the thick of the AFC playoff race and could push for the top seed in the conference. The Bills also visit the Ravens, Bengals and Chiefs and host the Packers and Titans, the only team to have beaten them in each of the past two regular seasons. With four primetime games and nothing but high-profile matchups through the first half of the season, the Chiefs’ rookies and newcomers will have no margin for error. Analysis: It’s a friendly start to the year with four of the first five games at Bank of America Stadium. The Panthers must take advantage of that portion of the schedule considering they have the Cardinals, 49ers, Rams and Buccaneers to follow. This year, they play both the Giants and Jets the second half of the season, thus bringing weather into the equation. Outside of Thanksgiving, they will play all of their games at 1 p.m. Last season, they avoided playing many games in cold weather late in the season. Their toughest stretch comes in Weeks 10–12 at home, with games against the Bills, Cowboys and Patriots (Thanksgiving night) in a span of 12 days. The part of the schedule to survive? The Packers will host the Cowboys in Week 10 and the Titans on a short week in Week 11. How will the former Eagles QB handle the pressure of his two meetings against the Eagles? And if the Commanders stay in contention late in the year, can they avoid a collapse at home in back-to-back visits from the Browns and Cowboys? A below-.500 mark doesn’t seem like a turnaround season.
Taking a look at the best games, quarterback matchups, rematches and possible Super Bowl previews in 2022.
And all of that does not even include what will actually happen when the clock is running. Forget the actual game, though that will be riveting, compelling, exhilarating and all the vocabulary words you can throw at it. Quarterback Justin Herbert has real talent and this year will not be easy for L.A., with the AFC West stacked with top QBs. Any time a big-name player faces their former team, especially just one offseason removed from the trade, it is a matchup to watch. the young superstar and if this game does not entertain it will be the shock of the season. An honorable mention for the Browns is against Watson's former team, the Houston Texans in Week 13. The Browns went all-in on Deshaun Watson and with Ben Roethlisberger retiring, the Steelers are hoping first-round draft pick Kenny Pickett is their future. The Bengals' 2021 season was no fluke and I expect them to be AFC North division winners. These teams are two that I am putting the most pressure on heading into the season. Just a few months ago Brady was retired, and before that Rodgers' future in Green Bay was unclear, but both players have returned to their rightful teams and should give us an offensive showdown. Brady facing off against Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will be a must-see game this season, so put it on your calendars now. Though let's face it, we've been excited for the 2022 season since the clock struck 0:00 in Super Bowl LVI.

The NFL released the New England Patriots 2022 schedule on Thursday night and there are FIVE primetime games on this baby!
Additionally, they didn’t have a first-round pick in this year’s draft because they traded it to move up and get Fields last year. And down the stretch, they will likely be the most important of the entire year. The Patriots have five primetime games and FOUR in a row from Weeks 12-15, with two on shortened weeks.

The Rams' title defense received a huge boost when three-time Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald decided to return after temporarily mulling retirement. With Mahomes under constant pressure, the Chiefs became only the third team in Super Bowl history not to score a touchdown. To the surprise of everyone, the Colts were upset by Jacksonville and in the process were eliminated from playoff contention. Speaking of Tampa Bay, the Buccaneers' title defense was ended by Matthew Stafford and the Rams in last year's divisional round showdown. Brady's brilliance was matched by Stafford, whose 20- and 44-yard completions to Cooper Kupp in the game's final minute set up Matt Gay's game-winning field goal as time expired. Expect Taylor to be more involved in the offense when the Colts return to Jacksonville this fall. John Madden's Raiders lost consecutive AFC title games to the Steelers before finally getting past Pittsburgh en route to the franchise's first Super Bowl title. The Colts will also be ready to showcase their new quarterback, Matt Ryan, who comes to Indianapolis following a decorated run in Atlanta. Indianapolis just needed to defeat a 2-14 Jaguars team that had fired their coach earlier in the season. Carson Wentz's first season in Washington will include games against both of his previous teams, the Eagles and Colts. New Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson will also face his former team -- the Houston Texans -- for the first time this season. Specifically, there are several revenge games that will garner plenty of headlines in the days leading up to kickoff. Wilson's time in Seattle included two Super Bowl appearances as well as the franchise's first-ever Super Bowl win.
It's always a time of endless optimism and hope, and this year's NFL schedule release was no different.
Other huge games to note include the Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Chargers in Week 2, the Green Bay Packers hosting the Rams in Week 15 and a crosstown LA clash on New Year's Day with the Chargers hosting the Rams -- although they both play home games in the SoFi Stadium. The reigning Super Bowl champions, the LA Rams, released a video titled "Stealing the Schedule" which includes some of the team's biggest stars attempt to carry out a heist to reveal the dates of the team's games. On Thursday, the NFL and its franchises announced the schedule for the 2022 season, with the exact dates and weeks revealed for some mouthwatering clashes.

The Dolphins social media team is clearly still reeling from sending an anti-hype video of Tua Tagovailoa underthrowing Tyreek Hill when the guys were messing around on the field, because I couldn’t find any schedule release vid. Going with the sepia tones and dramatic music fit the 1849 vibe, but the obscure images used to represent each team were a little too obscure at points. The Jags opted for your run of the mill hype video after spending approximately a trillion dollars in free agency. That said the foley work is impressive, and I appreciate the irreverence. Going with a Golden Tee spoof was a good idea, but this vid noticeably lacks in the joke department. Plus, who doesn’t want to read how awesome Allegiant Stadium is, from the likes of Marie Osmond, Lil John and Diplo? Extra points for keeping the video under 90 seconds, knowing they were kinda phoning it in. But as it goes on the joke becomes clear, and it’s tough not to smile by the end. The Rams are a Hollywood team and they leaned into their Hollywood vibes with a big-budget heist video. Somehow the Giants were the only ones to roast the Commanders name change, too. Having Joe Burrow ride a flying buffalo wing over Niagara Falls was a great idea. Everyone loves a Rube Goldberg machine, and this earns bonus points for looping perfectly at the end of the video! Leaning into the constant beef between Stephen A. Smith and the Cowboys is a really funny idea, and it’s executed well.
The Green Bay Packers have a notable built-in disadvantage to their schedule during the 2022 regular season: rest. If all teams played on Sunday, ...
The mini-bye week advantage comes into play for the Packers before facing the Philadelphia Eagles in November, Overall, the Packers will gain seven days of rest advantage before playing two playoff teams from the NFC in 2021. Overall, the Packers play three games with a significant rest differential working against them (Washington, Buffalo, Dallas), and they’ll have a multiple-day rest advantage in two games (Philadelphia, Los Angeles), so the net result isn’t necessarily great. The Packers do get a bye week before hosting the Los Angeles Rams in December, although the advantage is negated slightly by the Rams playing the previous Thursday night. The Packers also play the Jets just seven days after playing the Giants in London, which will require a grueling transatlantic flight there and back. But in Week 1, Team A plays on Thursday night, and Team B plays on Sunday. Team A would then go into Week 2 with a three-day rest advantage – 10 days for Team A compared to just seven for Team B. Let’s say Team A and Team B play in Week 2.
The Bears got a decent draw. The Packers have a lot of traveling to do. Here are the winners and losers from the 2022 schedule release.
And the Chiefs’ 2022 schedule is a bear. The Bears get a measuring stick out of the gate to see how far they have to go. At the end of the season, they face the Bills, another team whose success they’d like to emulate. They need to be 2-0 because things get more demanding, and the end of the road is a monster. They also have their two games against the Packers spaced out. Chicago opens against the 49ers, a team whose rebuilding model they would like to follow. Meanwhile, the Lions don’t play a primetime game. The ceiling is 7-10. They face the New York Giants in London in Week 5 but don’t get a bye in Week 6. Instead, San Francisco will play four home games, a neutral site game in Mexico, and have a bye week during the stretch. Both the Jets and Lions had great drafts. So instead, the Packers will fly back home to face the New York Jets before playing three straight road games against the Washington Commanders, Buffalo Bills, and Detroit Lions.
There are always some crazy quirks when it comes to the NFL schedule and this year is no different. The one weird thing about quirks is that not all of them ...
The Packers, Dolphins, Eagles and Chiefs have one big thing in common this year: They're the only teams in the league that have to play three consecutive road games. The Bears will play a home game against the Packers in Week 13 (Dec. 4). They have a bye in Week 14 (Dec. 11) and then they follow that up with a home game in Weeks 15 (Dec. 18) and 16 (Dec. 24). Although they do play a road game in Week 17, that game falls on Jan. 1, which means they have ZERO road games in December. First, it's tied for the latest scheduled bye that any team has ever been given since the NFL expanded to 32 teams in 2002. - Rough road to end the season. - Rough road to start the season. Teams seem to prefer having a later bye and last season proved why: 2021 was the only time since 2002 where teams were given a Week 14 bye and all four teams that received a bye that week ended up finishing the year with a winning record. The only division to get scheduled for more primetime games was the NFC East in 2015. After playing on the road in New York that week, the Commanders will have a bye in Week 14 before playing host to the Giants in Week 15. On the Ravens' end, they'll be starting the season with four straight games against the AFC East, marking the first time they've opened the season against four teams from the same division. The Jets will start the season by playing every team in the AFC North over the first four weeksmarking the first timesince the 1970 merger that the Jets have played four straight games against the same division at any point in a season. That being said, the NFL is clearly getting more comfortable with the idea because the only other time it happened over the past 30 years came last season with the Browns facing the Ravens in back-to-back games. There are always some crazy quirks when it comes to the NFL schedule and this year is no different.
The Lions were shut out of primetime games in 2022.
Detroit could also have a game flexed down the line, but the NFL clearly didn't want the Lions on national television much this year. The Lions don't even have a single 4:25 p.m. ET game on their schedule. The NFL could have given the Lions two Thursday games if it wanted, placing another game on Amazon Prime Video as part of their "Thursday Night Football" package. WR: Jameson Williams (21) Detroit, which has a nationally televised game on Thanksgiving every year, didn't make the league's prime-time slate. RB: Jamaal Williams (27)

I plugged in eight wins for the Browns when making these calculations. The other way I calculated this was by measuring the gap between each team's Vegas win total and its 17th opponent's total. If we do that, the ranking comes out this way, from toughest to easiest: One of the first schedule announcements is official now. That was up 7% over 2020 and close to flat (17.6 million) with 2019. Now that Wilson, a nine-time Pro Bowler, has arrived, Denver is once again a big draw for networks. Denver did not play on Monday Night Football last season for the first time since 1991. (The games will also be televised in the home markets of the playing teams.). Amazon paid the NFL $1 billion for the privilege, and the NFL will want to be a good partner here. Zac Jackson has an excellent piece on the Browns' schedule in relation to television. Obviously, every network wants as many Bucs games as they can get this year given the opportunity to showcase Blaine Gabbert (Relax. They want you know who.) 3. ESPN’s new Monday Night Football booth — Joe Buck and Troy Aikman — have long called the best games every week. Also, the Broncos visit the Rams on Christmas Day.

Minnesota QB Kirk Cousins will get another shot to improve upon a 1-9 record on Monday night, while Jalen Hurts looks to get off to a hot start in a pivotal third season. This time it's in Western New York, but it's another marquee matchup for the Bills to start the season as they face last year's AFC No. 1 seed a week after playing the reigning Super Bowl champs. Then again, Justin Fields leading Chicago to its first win in Green Bay since 2015 would certainly be a statement for the second-season signal-caller. This is a big one for Raider Nation, and Jones, who will get to face off against his former squad. No matter who's under center, Kyle Shanahan's Niners are looking to snap a four-game losing streak to Pete Carroll's 'Hawks. Tom Brady, Mike Evans and the Buccaneers' offense will no doubt have some extra incentive in this one, but Cameron Jordan and the Saints defense don't figure to give up much ground. Week 1 will conclude with the nine-time Pro Bowl quarterback's anticipated return to play his old squad, which traded him to the Broncos in the offseason. He'll have to jump right in against the three-time reigning division champions. The Lovie Smith era in Houston kicks off with quarterback Davis Mills' first Week 1 start. Hutchinson is likely to have a high-profile matchup against Eagles standout left tackle Jordan Mailata and will need to get his motor running to track down fleet-footed Philly QB Jalen Hurts. Atop the marquee will be 2021 NFL Draft first-round quarterbacks Trey Lance and Justin Fields, who are projected to lead their respective squads into this season-opening clash. This will also mark the return to the field of Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey after his 2021 season was cut short due to injury.
The Rams' title defense will start against Josh Allen's Bills, while Russell Wilson opens at the Seahawks.
Buffalo is a formidable season-opening opponent for Los Angeles. Led by quarterback Josh Allen, the Bills have made the playoffs each of the past three years and have won the last two AFC East division titles. The Los Angeles Rams will kick off their title defense against a team that has their own Super Bowl aspirations. Looking to slow Allen and the Bills' offense down is a Rams defense that is led by three-time Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald. Led by Donald and cornerback Jalen Ramsey, the Rams' defense shut out Joe Burrow and the Bengals' high-octane offense for the final 25 minutes of Super Bowl LVI. Speaking of last year's Super Bowl, Von Miller, who recorded two sacks of Burrow in the Rams' 23-20, will face his former teammates in Week 1 after signing with the Bills this past offseason. Buffalo Bills at Los Angeles Rams (Sept. 8, 8:20 p.m. ET) New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons (Sept. 11, 1 p.m. ET) Cleveland Browns at Carolina Panthers (Sept. 11, 1 p.m. ET) San Francisco 49ers at Chicago Bears (Sept. 11, 1 p.m. ET) Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals (Sept. 11, 1 p.m. ET) Philadelphia Eagles at Detroit Lions (Sept. 11, 1 p.m. ET) Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans (Sept. 11, 1 p.m. ET) New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins (Sept. 11, 1 p.m. ET) Baltimore Ravens at New York Jets (Sept. 11, 1 p.m. ET) Jacksonville Jaguars at Washington Commanders (Sept. 11, 1 p.m. ET) Buffalo has advanced beyond the AFC wild card round the past two seasons before having their seasons ended by the Kansas City Chiefs. Buffalo and Kansas City dueled in an epic playoff game this past January that wasn't decided until Travis Kelce's game-winning score less than five minutes into overtime. Kansas City Chiefs at Arizona Cardinals (Sept. 11, 4:25 p.m. ET) Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Chargers (Sept. 11, 4:25 p.m. ET) Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings (Sept. 11, 4:25 p.m. ET) New York Giants at Tennessee Titans (Sept. 11, 4:25 p.m. ET) Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Dallas Cowboys (Sept. 11, 8:20 p.m. ET) Denver Broncos at Seattle Seahawks (Sept. 12, 8:20 p.m. ET) The Rams will host the Buffalo Bills in the NFL's season-opening game on Thursday, Sept. 8.

He has a habit of dismantling even the best of players, and one-armed Tom Brady during a dog fight of a game last year early in the season. While I don’t imagine there will be a nuanced discussion about the NFL’s gambling partners or what constitutes a reasonable effort in assembling a roster every year, I do imagine whoever is calling that game will be on high alert for any kind of freudian slips. However, there is a large faction of this country still mechanically tuned to flipping on their main-room television and turning on the game. In Week 10, buried in the 1 p.m. CBS slate, both the Dolphins and Browns, teams that either have already been investigated for tanking or are currently under investigation for tanking (with one team perhaps setting the bar for the other), will be on the field together. The Cardinals are, conveniently, in prime time the week DeAndre Hopkins’s suspension for performance-enhancing substances is up against a Saints team that aggressively moved up the board for wide receiver Chris Olave out of Ohio State. This could be as good a chance to see a legitimate shootout. This is also a good chance to talk a little bit about Amazon’s slate of games in general. This is less about Brady and Patrick Mahomes and more about Todd Bowles and Andy Reid. Bowles rolled out one of the most dominating game plans in Super Bowl history against the Chiefs in 2021, a stunning teardown of the best offense in sports. I think I’ve settled on the idea that most of the time, a fan incident gets amplified because of our idea of Philadelphia, and our idea of Philadelphia comes from an amalgam of pop culture-y events that both encourage bad actors (who aren’t really Eagles fans) and entrench the idea that this is a truly ghoulish group of people at the stadium. McCarthy’s defensive coordinator, Dan Quinn, has one of the best and most creative blitzing linebackers (Micah Parsons) the league has seen in the past five years. Mike McCarthy will return to Green Bay, and while a great deal of time has passed ( it will be almost four years since he was fired by the Packers), a contentious ending to one of the best coach-and-quarterbacking tandems in NFL history still remains. Editor (and esteemed Philadelphian) Mitch Goldich and I talk often about the reputation of Philadelphia fans and how much of their place in the horrid fan universe is deserved. In addition, this is the second straight week Brady will be on a Fox broadcast after signing a 10-year deal reportedly worth almost $400 million with the company.

Which NFL teams have the toughest schedules in 2022? Nick Shook identifies the 10 squads staring down the most daunting slates in the upcoming season.
However, the remainder of the schedule (and especially the back nine) is an absolute buzz saw. The first half of the season is a mixed bag in terms of difficulty, but things get much tougher in the second half. The Browns have a friendly on-ramp to the 2022 season. As for the Raiders, they get to enjoy the comfort of Allegiant Stadium for four of their final six games. Speaking of Denver, the Broncos open the season with a return to Seattle for Wilson in front of a Monday night audience. The Chargers don't have it much better, as they'll be visitors in four of their last seven games, including prime-time meetings with a Colts team looking to get back to the postseason after a massive letdown in 2021 ( Week 16) and a battle for Los Angeles with the defending Super Bowl champion Rams ( Week 17). To close out the regular season, they fly to Denver for a rematch with Russell Wilson's Broncos. The final 11 games offer very few breaks, with a date at the home of Tom Brady's Buccaneers sandwiched between rematches with San Francisco and Arizona. There’s a trip to Kansas City on Nov. 27 and dates with the Raiders, Packers, Broncos and Chargers all coming between Weeks 14 and 17. The back half of the schedule is a little lighter, with home games against Chicago, Jacksonville and Detroit, but the journey from the cellar to contention remains a steep climb. There won't be much time for the Cardinals to work out any lingering kinks early in the season, not with the slate of opponents who await them. Nearly every single game in the first half of the season looks like it could be a significant hurdle for Pittsburgh, a franchise taking its first steps into the post- Ben Roethlisberger era, and five of the first eight contests come away from Heinz Field. Things don't get much easier after the Week 9 bye, either, as the Steelers go on the road for four of their final seven games. With that in mind, let's take a look at some of the most difficult roads to Glendale, Arizona, the site of Super Bowl LVII. Just don't forget to account for the year-to-year turnover of contenders and the unpredictability of it all.
An offseason of superstar trades and movement led to a busy year for those who put together the 272-game puzzle.
All of a sudden, Cincinnati is in play to be maxed out, and Buffalo is in play to be maxed out. Their process, thanks to Kevin Colbert giving the team a runway, and it happening during a downtime in the calendar, has allowed for the kind of slowed-down time line many in the league have advocated for. “There are key things, when you talk about the teams that are going to be maxed out,” Bose said. And then throw in Russell going to Denver and the way the AFC West is now stacked and playing the NFC West.” “Could you have done the championship game rematch with the Niners? Or once Russell went to Denver, could you have done Denver? Absolutely. Those were games in consideration. “And look, there’s no doubt, Amazon, a new partner, digital distribution, we wanted to get them off to strong start and starting with the Chargers–K.C. at Arrowhead feels huge. Russell Wilson going to Denver, the excitement around Justin Herbert, the quality of the NFC West. It’s somewhat by design, let’s get the best games to the best windows. Aaron Rodgers made the call he was staying in Green Bay and Russell Wilson was traded on March 8. “It makes it more challenging; it makes us have to anticipate and be able to react,” said Bose. “It was almost, at times, day-by-day, like Whoa, this is incredible, how does this impact our schedule? And now how do we redistribute those games in the right places and across our networks.” “We were gonna use those games in good places anyway, because they were still Dallas and Kansas City and Green Bay and the Rams. But him returning just elevated six to eight games—you can play those in any window. “When you’re thinking the greatest player of all time has retired and with the opponents Tampa just has?” said Bose, the NFL’s VP of broadcasting, on Thursday, just before the schedule release.
The NFL has released its full schedule for the 2022 season. There will be 272 games played throughout the regular season, and then 13 more during the ...
Late-year games between the Eagles and Cowboys seemingly always carry great import, and this year figures to be no exception. This is one of the most stacked weeks of the season, with awesome games throughout the weekend. Any time you get to watch Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey against the GOAT, plus Todd Bowles scheming against Sean McVay, you're going to want to make sure you're available. This matchup pits what should be two of the strongest rushing attacks in the league against each other, so if you like the ground and pound game, you'll want to tune in. The Bills and Chiefs played two fascinating games last season, and most NFL fans are still waiting for Josh Allen to get his chance to answer that last Patrick Mahomes touchdown pass to Travis Kelce from the divisional round. One of the best games of last season gets run back in Week 5. Yes, the Bucs really do host Aaron Rodgers one week and then Patrick Mahomes the next. (Hopefully.) These are two of the top contenders in the NFC, so it should be a game that is both very fun and very important. (Note: We tried to limit the usage of each team so that they appear four times, at most. We'll have already seen the new-look Packers offense without Davante Adams for a couple weeks before this game, so they'll have had time to get in a rhythm. At the end of it all, we'll have crowned a champion.
Russell Wilson won't have to wait long to head back to Seattle for the first time, as his Broncos play at the Seahawks for Monday Night Football in Week 1. The ...
This year also features the Saints vs. The Chiefs will host the Chargers in Week 2 for the first game of Amazon Prime’s new Thursday Night Football deal. Russell Wilson won’t have to wait long to head back to Seattle for the first time, as his Broncos play at the Seahawks for Monday Night Football in Week 1.
Bills vs. Chiefs — Week 6. Hell yeah I'll take a rematch of the AFC Divisional Playoff game between these two, which was without a doubt the best game of the ...
Both are considered Super Bowl contenders, and we’ll get a great sense of where the power lies in the NFL when these teams meet. It’s unfair to have the expectation that the Broncos can win the division immediately and make a deep playoff run, after all Peyton Manning lost early in the playoffs during his first season in Denver. This game will take strides to deciding that. It’s going to be interesting to see how the Dolphins look, how the Niners play with Lance leading them, and watch the jousting match between the two coaches. There’s every chance they could take a big step forward in 2022, especially if Davis Mills ends up being what the team hopes he can be. While that game only took place in January, the complexion of this matchup looks entirely different.
Why the Seahawks, Browns, Cardinals, Cowboys, Saints and Cowboys have a right to complain.
The Cowboys are tied for the easiest strength of schedule in the NFL this coming year, which means we have no obligation to feel sorry for them. Yes, Phoenix to Mexico City is only about a 3 ½-hour flight, but it’s a trip into unforgiving terrain, elevated 2,000 feet higher above sea level than Denver. Also, according to rest metrics provided by NFL Stats and Information, the Cardinals have one of the least advantageous rest to short rest breakdowns in the league this year. The Packers’ schedule is also notably backloaded, and features a season-ending game against the Lions, which may be significant given Detroit’s emergence as a trendy playoff pick this year. If you were a player who enjoys prime time, or a coach on the Browns’ staff hoping the additional television time would aid in your candidacy for a head-coaching opportunity in 2023, it is unfortunate to have just one network prime-time game and one streaming prime-time opportunity in 2022. It’s worth pointing out that the preseason strength of schedule tells us next to nothing about an upcoming season if the out-of-conference games are layered in a somewhat difficult fashion. It’s Patriots, Broncos and Buccaneers. Best of luck to Kliff Kingsbury and Co., who came into this season knowing they would have the second-toughest strength of schedule. The Cardinals’ schedule is wickedly front- and back-loaded, with the only identifiable soft spot coming in the late September, early October stretch of the season. There has always been a massive discrepancy between cumulative travel distances for certain teams, like the Raiders in 2018 and ’19, who were so egregiously hosed that the league’s head of broadcasting offered as close to an apology as we’ll ever see from the NFL. The Seahawks will rest a week after Germany before playing the Raiders, Rams, 49ers and Chiefs over five weeks, with a game against the Panthers serving as their only respite. We’re not saying they are hosed, per se, but we are pointing out a clear discrepancy in prime-time games for Cleveland versus other teams that made similarly significant roster moves this offseason. We’ll also dive into what seem to be the politics behind prime-time games and where that leaves certain franchises. To be clear, the Browns opted for this.
Sure, this is all a little silly, but it does give us a bit more fodder to consider as we size up a 2022 season that is still nearly a third of a year away.
They face the Bengals on a Monday night in Week 8. - The Bucs face a challenge between Weeks 10-14. The Pats play Thanksgiving at the Vikingsthen again the following Thursday ( Bills) and the following Monday night ( Cardinals) and then on a Sunday night ( Raiders). Good grief. They host the Bucs andBengals, go to the Giants, host Washington and then travel to the Ramsand Eagles. Smells like 2-4. Perhaps the Jaguars got totally hosed and had ridiculous road trips thrust upon them and play successive teams coming off a bye four weeks in a row. Baltimore battles the entire AFC East in the first four weeks of the season.

The 2022 NFL schedule is out! Which island matchups SCREAM must-see TV? Adam Schein ranks the top nine prime-time games on the slate.
He's one of the most unique -- and most dominant -- players at any position in the game today. This could've been the Super Bowl last season -- and it will be the Super Bowl in February. Yup, I'm calling it. Rodgers and Allen have faced off one time, with the Packers blanking the Bills 22-0 back in Week 4 of 2018. YES!!!!!!!!!! I've been calling for this -- begging for this -- since the Rams won the Super Bowl. What a Kickoff Game! What a way to start the new campaign! I also love that this game's at Lambeau Field in December. It's one of the most unique environments in sports. And fresh off the run to the Super Bowl, the bar is rightly raised for more greatness. Not a crazy thought, given the immense talent on each roster, starting at the game's most important position. And with this game taking place on Christmas Eve, the incredible Steelers fans will have Heinz Field rocking. The tradition, the uniforms, the pomp and circumstance -- I'm a sucker for a matchup like this. Oh, and I love the Raiders this year. History! Ever heard of "The Immaculate Reception"? This is one of the most storied non-divisional rivalries in the league. Well, Russell Wilson is returning to Seattle on the very first Monday night of the season -- JUICY! -- but that emotionally charged tilt doesn't make the countdown below.
Yet again, social media departments for NFL teams put together creative videos to announce their schedules. Who stood out this season?
Back in 2020 they released a video that played to the quarantine lives we were all living at the time, featuring “Sunday Best” by Surfaces: Teams have put together some impressive videos over the years, including this from the Atlanta Falcons from a few seasons ago, as “Game of Thrones” captivated the nation: For many, the buildup to the schedule has become something of a chore.
The NFL schedule isn't created equal for all 32 teams based on whom they're playing and when they're playing them. Dallas and Green Bay top the favorable ...
They have high expectations with rookie coach Mike McDaniel after an aggressive offseason of major offensive improvements, led by the blockbuster trade for Tyreek Hill to pair with Tua Tagovailoa. The most difficult two-game stretch is back-to-back on the road at New England and Las Vegas (Weeks 9 and 10), but the rest is rather manageable for Indianapolis to do better than the 9 wins from 2021. Consider the Titans get the Bills, Bengals and Packers in those games instead. For the first time, Cincinnati hosts Pittsburgh in the opener and has to turn around to travel to Dallas in Week 2. The Ravens' three unique games from the rest of the division are against the Giants, Jaguars and Broncos. the Cardinals, the Buccaneers at home and the Raiders in Las Vegas. Double-digit wins won't come easy for either the Rams or 49ers. Their first two road games are in Arizona and San Francisco, ahead of drawing the Cowboys in Week 5. NFC West teams also need to play the Buccaneers and the rest of the NFC South. The Cardinals also have it pretty bad and the Seahawks don't have it that much better because of that NFC West vs. Coming out of the bye, the Chiefs face the Titans at home in Week 9. Playing at the Buccaneers in Week 3 and at the Bills in Week 8 are their toughest games, and both come in the first half around plenty of favorable action. The crossover play between the loaded AFC and NFC Wests presents an immediate extra challenge for all eight teams involved.
