Eagles fans waiting to see the returns of former head coach Doug Pederson and quarterback Carson Wentz now know when they will happen.
The Eagles will face former teammates in tight end Zach Ertz when they visit the Arizona Cardinals on Oct. 9... But many, including former Giants coach Joe Judge, suspect that the Eagles tanked that finale to improve the Eagles' draft positioning. Both play for the Giants. After that season, by far the worst of Wentz's career, he was traded to the Colts in return for a first- and third-round pick. The Eagles also have that home game against the Vikings (8-9) on Sept. 19, with Delaware native Brian O'Neill, a right tackle. Dec. 18 at Chicago, 1 p.m. Sept. 25 at Washington, 1 p.m. That game will also feature the first game in Philadelphia for Delaware native Darnell Savage, the Packers' safety and first-round pick in 2019. Sept. 11 at Detroit, 1 p.m. He went in the first round, 20th overall. They'll face Tennessee (12-5) and Indianapolis (9-8) at home. In all, the Eagles will play nine home games and eight road games.
The Eagles open the regular season on September 11 at the Lions. They have five prime-time games, not including a Christmas Eve tilt with the Cowboys.
• Philadelphia will not play consecutive road games through the first 13 weeks of the season. • Philadelphia's five scheduled prime-time contests are its most in a season since 2018. Week 3: Sunday, September 25 at Washington Commanders at 1 PM
Jalen Hurts aims to lead the Eagles past the wild-card round of the playoffs in the 2022 season after finishing 9–8 in the 2021 campaign.
- Week 8: Sunday, October 30 vs. - Week 4: Sunday, October 2 vs. - Week 13: Sunday, December 4 vs. - Week 8: Sunday, October 30 vs. - Week 4: Sunday, October 2 vs. Philadelphia could be headed in that direction after the franchise traded for former Titans receiver AJ Brown in this year’s draft.
The Philadelphia Eagles' 2022 schedule is set, so now we'll take a deeper look at the advantages and disadvantages of this year's slate of games.
The Eagles drew a Week 7 bye in 2022, which is earlier than ideal. A counter-argument to this logic is that the Eagles got their weakest opponents late in the season, and those games became exceedingly easy after some of those teams suffered debilitating injuries. • The Eagles have road games on three straight weekends, a major disadvantage that schedule makers try to avoid. Their Thursday night game is not only on the road, but it's also a semi-long distance flight. Listen below (BGN Radio #248). And here's the iTunes link. It's worth noting that the first game in that three-game stretch is just a bus ride to North Jersey, but the Eagles still got screwed here, in my opinion. We also recorded a podcast predicting wins and losses. As such, the four NFC East teams have the four easiest schedules in the NFL. You don't want to finish on the road. • Because we already knew who the Eagles' opponents were going to be this year, we already knew they had a weak schedule, at least on paper. Ideally, you would prefer to get your weaker opponents early in the season, in my opinion. Or perhaps better stated, you would prefer to get your stronger opponents later in the season.

The 2022 NFL schedule is officially here and that means it's time for a very serious and scientific exercise: predicting the Philadelphia Eagles' final ...
Even if their starting quarterback gets injured, they still have a decent chance to hit the over on their projected win total of 8.5 games. Hurts is especially facing a lot of pressure as he tries to convince the Birds that he’s worthy of a long-term contract extension. If they make the playoffs only to get beat decisively in the first round again, well, that’s just not a successful season. But it’s also pretty possible that Hurts continues to not be very good at throwing the football at a high level. The sense here is we’ll see some similar results in 2022. But they really struggled against the legitimately good ones. The Eagles oddly had the benefit of resting their starters as the No. 7 seed in the NFC playoff picture last year. Well, similar principal here with the Giants not earning the benefit of the doubt over the Eagles. Even though the G-Men did beat Hurts last year. After watching Gannon’s defense get absolutely destroyed by very good quarterbacks last year, it’s hard to imagine he’s going to have answers for Aaron Rodgers. The reigning back-to-back MVP shouldn’t struggle to take advantage of Philly’s secondary. The Stillers are 0-9 in Philadelphia since 1966. First of all, the NFL screwed up by having Carson Wentz’s first game against the Eagles not taking place in Philly. But, hey, there should still be a large contingent of Eagles fans present at FedEx Field. Outside of the Wentz angle, Washington is a boring team. The Eagles aren’t starting their season 0-2.
The Washington Commanders and Carson Wentz will visit Lincoln Financial Field for a Monday Night Football game on Nov. 14 in Week 10. The Eagles have two games ...
Week 15 — at Bears on Dec. 18 at 1 p.m. on FOX Week 1 — at Lions on Sept. 11 at 1 p.m. on FOX Week 14 — at Giants on Dec. 11 at 1 p.m. on FOX The Eagles also rank 24th in the NFL in travel miles in 2022. All of Philadelphia will be asking for the same thing for Christmas this year: To beat the Cowboys. Week 3 — at Commanders on Sept. 25 at 1 p.m. on FOX In their first six games before the bye, the Eagles will face four straight teams that had losing records last year, the Cardinals without DeAndre Hopkins and then the returning division champions. Then the Eagles get an extra day to prepare for their Monday Night Football game against the Vikings in Week 2. Expect a big ovation for the Super Bowl-winning head coach. The Eagles have two games on Monday Night Football, two on Sunday night and one on Thursday night. And in 2022, they are scheduled for five primetime games. The Washington Commanders and Carson Wentz will visit Lincoln Financial Field for a Monday Night Football game on Nov. 14 in Week 10.
The Philadelphia Eagles head into 2022 with plenty of reasons for optimism. For one, a young team that had moved on from Carson Wentz last season and...
@nflnetwork pic.twitter.com/ohgu6KdMK3 The Eagles had mixed results against the NFC East in 2021, going 3-3. And the man Wentz replaced in Indy, Philip Rivers, took the Colts to the playoffs in 2020. @nflnetwork pic.twitter.com/LZ6gVPyErL The man who replaced him in Philly, Hurts, got the Eagles to the postseason last year. The team will be looking to build upon the promise it showed in Nick Sirianni's first season as head coach.
After teasing individual games for the better part of two weeks, the NFL finally released its full schedule for the 2022 season Thursday on the NFL Network.
In Week 15, it’s possible Fox will only air late afternoon games due to its coverage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Final on Dec. 18. ESPN+ will stream Between the Lines at 8 p.m., which will feature Daily Wager and ESPN’s fantasy football commentators examining the schedule. You can also stream it on a host of “skinny bundles” that carry the NFL Network, including fuboTV, YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, and Sling TV. This year, with Christmas falling on a Sunday, the NFL will schedule most of its Week 16 games on Christmas Eve, along with an evening game that will air on the NFL Network. For the first time, the NFL will have three Christmas games, consisting of an afternoon doubleheader (including the Denver Broncos at the Los Angeles Rams on CBS) and a Sunday Night Football game. Tickets for the Eagles’ home opener against the Minnesota Vikings on Monday, Sept. 19, went on sale after the game was announced Monday, with the cheapest seats going for about $150. But Eagles fans will have to wait for tickets for the rest of the season. The Eagles haven’t announced when tickets for the remaining seven home games at Lincoln Financial Field will go on sale, but it won’t be Thursday night after the schedule is announced, a spokesperson told the Inquirer. Eagles fans already know a couple of games. In Week 18, two games with playoff implications will be moved to Saturday, Jan. 7, and air on ESPN and ABC. Last season, the Eagles’ Week 18 matchup against the Cowboys was flexed to the final Saturday of the season. Heading into Thursday, the NFL has already announced 10 games, including five international games that will be played in Germany, Mexico, and the United Kingdom. That includes the Week 8 matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Denver Broncos at Wembley Stadium that will stream exclusively on ESPN+. ESPN announced earlier this week the Birds’ home opener will be Week 2 on Monday Night Football against the Minnesota Vikings. Eagles beat writer Jeff McLane reported the Eagles will open the season on the road against the Detroit Lions, and travel to Dallas to face the Cowboys on Christmas Eve at 4:25 p.m. Both games will air on Fox29 in Philadelphia. The rest of the Eagles’ games will officially be announced at 8 p.m. on the NFL Network, though in past years they have leaked out before then. After teasing individual games for the better part of two weeks, the NFL finally released its full schedule for the 2022 season Thursday on the NFL Network.

This game late in the season is of particular interest, as the Eagles will be playing New Orleans at home one week after this. Is it possible Carson Wentz is hurt or benched by Week 13? Is it possible that by Week 13 neither of these teams are relevant in the division? Will he get a round of applause in Indy? Doubtful. This game is in primetime so it's a good chance to study up on their upcoming opponent. These two division rivals are each on the Eagles' docket this season, and it will be interesting to see how each one looks as the Birds anticipate playing each.
