Follow here for the Cowboys' draft picks and analysis of what they do throughout the 2022 NFL Draft.

Ridgeway was a state champion wrestler in high school and plays with the knock-back power to displace and overwhelm blockers. His twitch is slightly delayed at the top of routes, although his eye use and route recognition showed encouraging improvements in 2021 as he adjusted to the FBS. the run and pass to be a complete NFL player. However, he finds himself overextended too often and there is a massive gap between the power and skill of rushers he faced in the Missouri Valley Conference and what he will see in the NFL. He flashes the ability to stack-and-shed blockers, but he isn’t an explosive take-on player and needs to better navigate roadblocks. Overall, Williams must improve his discipline to be a more consistent edge-setter and rusher, but he has the upfield acceleration and attacking mentality to affect the game as a quarterback hunter. He has the mentality needed for blocking duties, but his average play strength and technique will be more pronounced in the NFL. Although he doesn’t have elite top-end speed, he has fluid footwork and uses slight hesitation in his route breaks so he can mash the gas and create pockets of separation. In the run game, he has a reliable motor but struggles to control the point because of a faulty anchor and tall pads. He has issues with over-setting, his hand discipline isn’t consistent (both in pass pro and the run game) and he might be a better guard than a tackle. Williams was arrested on felony sexual battery in July 2020 – the charges were dropped that September and he returned to the team following a suspension. He can finish, he can play with a nasty edge and he’s flexible enough to get underneath defenders and be a two-way asset as an offensive lineman.

2022 NFL Draft order: List of picks, grades for Cowboys, Giants ... (CBSSports.com)

2022 NFL Draft: NFC East team-by-team needs, picks and grades for Cowboys, Commanders, Giants, Eagles.

They then traded the 18th-overall pick to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for A.J. Brown in a blockbuster move that will send shockwaves throughout the division. They made things interesting in the fifth round by drafting Sam Howell, who might readily compete with Wentz -- sooner than later -- but most certainly for Taylor Heinicke (immediately). The Eagles defensive line is now one of the best in the NFL. Philly gave up quite a bit of draft capital to grab him as the tandem star with Fletcher Cox, and it'll likely be more than worth it. Presuming no unexpected about-face on Hurts, the Eagles can enjoy having no need atop the QB totem and focus their efforts on surrounding him with talent. The former Crimson Tide standout finished his career with Alabama on a breakout note -- logging a career-best nine sacks and 10.5 tackles for loss. 1 (5) Their first pick can easily be viewed as as jackpot, going with Kayvon Thibodeaux, the edge star from Oregon. With plenty of talk of several teams considering trading up for Thibodeaux (including rumblings regarding the Cowboys), the Giants were poised at No. 5 to sit tight and kill those hopes and dreams rather swiftly. It's clear the Giants finally understand it's important to protect the quarterback, and Jones has to be smiling ear to ear at this point. A Second-Team All-SEC talent in 2021, Robinson had a breakout season last year that produced 1,334 yards and seven touchdowns -- career-highs in both categories. The Giants are expecting a swift turnaround in 2022 after seeing Dave Gettleman retire from his GM position and then firing Joe Judge after only two seasons as head coach. And as the Cowboys get to work on trying to buck those odds, the Eagles join the New York Giants and Washington Commanders in putting together a plan to keep them from doing so. For while the Dallas Cowboys can be viewed as favorites to possibly repeat after going 12-5 overall and finishing with an undefeated 6-0 record inside of the division, the reality is it's insanely difficult to repeat in the NFC East.

LB - There is Micah Parsons, but he spends some time on the defensive line. They need something for 2022 and the future. My bold prediction is the Cowboys go back-to-back years taking a Penn State linebacker as they select Brandon Smith. The former second-round pick is currently buried on the depth chart and entering the final year of his rookie contract. Dave Halprin: The Cowboys will draft a kicker. The Dallas Cowboys drafted the three position groups in the first three rounds that many had predicted.

A complete look at the Dallas Cowboys picks and draft order in each round of the 2022 NFL Draft. This year's draft takes place on April 28-30 in Las Vegas.

The Cowboys’ defense performed better than expected last season, finishing No. 7 overall in points allowed per game. Round 5: No. 176 – Damone Clark, LB, LSU Despite the strong rebound, the Cowboys were quickly bumped from the playoffs when they lost at home in the first round to the San Francisco 49ers and their season – once again – ended earlier than planned. The Cowboys had a strong offensive line protecting Prescott last season, but they need to do some restructuring this offseason. But Dallas already has depth at the receiver position in CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup, though admittedly not as much at the start of the season after the Miami Dolphins signed Cedrick Wilson. The Cowboys are now freed up to use their additional draft picks to fill other positions of need. Cooper has eclipsed the 1000-yard mark five times in his eight-year career and is therefore a weapon on any offense.

4th-Round Pick Jake Ferguson Bolsters TE Depth (DallasCowboys.com)

A full breakdown of the Cowboys' fourth-round draft pick (No. 129 overall) Saturday.

Physical at the point of attack and with his hands as a blocker. The Rundown: The Cowboys considered drafting a tight end as early as the second round and prioritized the position early on Day 3. Schultz set career highs in catches (78), receiving yards (808) and touchdowns (8) last year and could see even more receiving targets in 2022 as the Cowboys reshape the passing game without Amari Cooper (Browns) and Cedrick Wilson (Dolphins). But after waiving injured veteran Blake Jarwin (hip), the club wanted another tight end to help as a receiver/blocker and contribute in two-tight end sets.

Ferguson has the potential to be an excellent blocker, something the Cowboys lacked from their tight ends last season.
