What time does 2022 NFL Draft start today? Live TV coverage ... (Sporting News AU)

The Sporting News has everything you need to know about the 2022 NFL Draft, including date and start time from Las Vegas.

1 1 1 Unlike last year, however, there isn't a consensus No. 1 player (though most draft experts believe Aidan Hutchinson or Travon Walker will go in the top two, in some order). Cord cutters have a few different options to catch the NFL Draft at cost. Considering teams have 10 minutes per draft pick, the first round of the NFL Draft can be expected to end at roughly midnight.

The Eagles have 10 picks in this year's draft, including five in the first three rounds.

The Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints, New York Giants, and New York Jets also hold multiple first-round picks. New Orleans Saints (via Philadelphia) The Jaguars and the Kansas City Chiefs each have 12 picks, tied for most in the league. Philadelphia Eagles (via New Orleans) Who’s to say that can’t happen here with the Eagles?” Adam Schefter will be a no-show in order to attend his son’s college graduation. The No. 18 pick would happen around 10:20 p.m. The Birds would’ve been just the seventh team since 1960 with three top-20 draft picks, but traded one of those to the New Orleans Saints in exchange for future picks. This year’s traveling draft road show is taking place in Las Vegas, which was scheduled to host in 2020 before COVID-19 forced the festivities into Roger Goodell’s basement. During the first round, each team has 10 minutes to make its pick. Jeff McLane thinks the team will focus on defense and trade up to the No. 11 spot to land Jordan Davis, the standout defensive tackle from Georgia. But could new head coach Doug Pederson surprise everyone by selecting North Carolina State offensive tackle Ikem Ekwonu? All we really know is Jacksonville GM Trent Baalke said last week the team was considering four players, and NBC Sports’ Peter King wrote he was told to “ expect a surprise.”

N.F.L Draft 2022: How to Watch, Start Time and Streaming (The New York Times)

Teams will select new players over three days in a football pageant being held for the first time in Las Vegas.

The Jets currently have five draft picks in the first three rounds, including the fourth and 10th selections. Travon Walker, a defensive lineman from Georgia and another contender to be picked first overall, will participate remotely. The first round of the draft will be broadcast on ABC, ESPN and NFL Network and streamed across N.F.L. and ESPN mobile apps. Another, the Houston Texans (Nos. 3 and 13), may be scouting for a wide receiver. They are among the eight teams that have two picks in the first round. For the second consecutive year, the Jacksonville Jaguars have the No. 1 overall pick.

Peter Schrager 2022 NFL mock draft 3.0: Eagles, Packers trade up ... (NFL.com)

In his third and final mock of the 2022 NFL Draft's first round, Peter Schrager has two teams -- the Eagles and Packers -- trading up to nab wide receivers.

Comped to Matt Forte, Hall is the choice. Only 21 years old and a redshirt sophomore last season, the Tulsa product is just getting started. With this selection, I will have had Tampa taking a safety in back-to-back mock drafts. Williams is the burner of this receiver group and, when healthy, would join former Alabama teammate DeVonta Smith. That's exactly what the Jets need. It feels like Walker is the guy. Now the winds have changed direction to Ickey. I think the Falcons go edge rusher no matter what. But I don't see it happening. The Chiefs wait patiently and nab Burks -- one of the more versatile wide receivers in this draft -- near the end of the first round. I think the Eagles get aggressive -- trading away Pick Nos. 18 and 51 overall to Houston in exchange for No. 13 -- to ensure they get the wide receiver they covet. The first wideout off the board, Wilson is able to contribute from Day 1 for the Jets. Many believe he is the surest thing at the position in this year's draft class.

Lance Zierlein 2022 NFL mock draft 4.0: Steelers trade up for lone ... (NFL.com)

In Lance Zierlein's final mock of the 2022 NFL Draft, he sees the Steelers trading up for a quarterback -- the only one picked in Round 1.

One of the hotter names on the board at linebacker, Walker is dependable, smart and athletic. Dallas could go in a variety of directions at this spot, including trading up. The Giants already grabbed a pass rusher at No. 5. Sure, the Falcons need help at receiver, but have you seen their pass rush? What a tough call for New York with Aidan Hutchinson still on the board. Philadelphia has an obvious void at one cornerback spot. Tampa, in need of a guard in the worst way, takes a talented drive blocker with guard/tackle flexibility and loads of upside -- if he can learn to play with better discipline. Gordon didn't run as fast as expected at the combine (4.52 40-yard dash), but he's a physical specimen with twitch and toughness and a good deal of improvement still to come. Elam has been a riser in the draft process, thanks to strong interviews and a solid showing at the NFL Scouting Combine. The Saints, in desperate need of a left tackle after Terron Armstead's departure in free agency, get the best one still on the board while passing on receiver (for the time being). Big win for the Panthers. In Neal, they get a Day 1 starter at left tackle upon which to build a foundation for success. I'm sure the Giants will race this card up to the podium, as they take home one of the top players at a major position of need.

2022 NFL mock draft: Final first-round projection features long wait ... (USA TODAY)

Prognostication time is just about over, as the NFL draft is set to start Thursday night. How will a mysterious first round pan out?

Green, however, offers a dose of versatility and reliability to a front that could hold the key to Tennessee's fortunes as is. A fine way to invigorate a passing attack prone to stalling would be to equip Kyler Murray with a major threat after the catch. That mentality could aid the odds for Gordon, a dynamic playmaker with burgeoning coverage skills but a Minnesota has been in search of stability in the secondary for years, and McDuffie might be the right man to provide it. He shows recognition skills far beyond his limited experience as a one-year starter, and his rare combination of size and athleticism could be a major draw for Bill Belichick. The 6-4, 241-pound Walker is another Georgia defender on a rise that could take him all the way to the first round. One year after locking down the left side of their line with Rashawn Slater, the Chargers could be poised to search for an answer at right tackle. Though Johnson isn't as bendy as the other top edge rushers ticketed for the top 10, he can deploy his long frame, powerful punch and agile feet to routinely beat blockers and make plays in the backfield. In an NFL draft that has been shrouded in mystery for months, Walker ascending all the way to the top would be a fitting outcome. This would mark a precipitous fall for Thibodeaux, who could be in play as early as No. 2. While Atlanta has been linked to Ohio State's Garrett Wilson frequently, the 6-4, 219-pound London has demonstrated he can be the focal point of a passing attack, and his massive catch radius and box-out skills would help Marcus Mariota settle in until the Falcons identify a successor. Even if he never becomes the outright "game-changer" that general manager Brad Holmes is seeking in this slot, the 6-7, 260-pounder could still spark the Lions' rebuild by becoming a cornerstone of the defense.

By the end of Thursday night, that question will finally be answered. The 2022 NFL Draft begins tonight, Thursday April 28 at 8 p.m., and runs through Saturday, April 30.

It’s not even a given which position will be selected first. Maybe the Ravens dip into those seven third- or fourth-round picks and move up from 14. Maybe a guy like Kayvon Thibodeaux or Derek Stingley Jr. is available outside the top 10. This is the first draft under new Saints coach Dennis Allen, so there's certainly a little bit of mystery as to how they might operate after Sean Payton ran the show for so many years. The Saints' top needs are wide receiver, a left tackle to replace Terron Armstead and perhaps another starting safety after Malcolm Jenkins retired. The Rams have eight picks, though those don’t begin until No. 104. Find out who goes where and other predictions for each team below. The 2022 need-based crowd is clamoring for a cornerback, which could be the pick.
