Golden State Warriors vs Denver Nuggets Apr 21, 2022 Game ... (NBA.com)

The Denver Nuggets persevered throughout the regular season, overcoming long-term injuries to two of their top three players to win 48 games.

"We've got to figure it out, because getting swept again, not a good look for nobody, and it's embarrassing," Monte Morris said. Amid the frustration of Monday's 20-point loss, DeMarcus Cousins and Will Barton got into a heated discussion heading into a timeout. The "death lineup," as Golden State's lineup of Curry, Poole and Thompson has been dubbed, works because all three can create their own shots. Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole combined for 84 of the Warriors 126 points in Game 2. It is great to be playing in front of our own fans." The Warriors won the first two games in convincing fashion but the Nuggets hope that coming home will make a difference.

Denver Nuggets: Bones Hyland and Will Barton are X-factors ... (Nugg Love)

If the Denver Nuggets want to beat the Golden State Warriors, both Will Barton and Bones Hyland need to step up on the offensive end.

The Nuggets need all the help they can get with the team, and the experience Barton has may need to play a higher role for the team since MPJ and Murray are still out. These two are the MPJ and Murray, playing different roles between the bench and starting. If head coach Michael Malone hopefully sticks to what he did near the end of Game 2, the possibility of the Nuggets keeping it close against the Warriors will happen. Both players’ numbers so far in this series are not astounding but can help their offense whether Porter Jr. and Murray return in these playoffs. Thankfully for Nuggets fans, two players can be that X-Factor to hopefully even this series as the next games are in Ball Arena. Denver is now in a considerable deficit with the series shifting to the Ball Arena for Games 3 and 4.

Preview: Jokic and the Nuggets look to reset at home for Game 3 (Denver Stiffs)

The Denver Nuggets and the Golden State Warriors will battle it out at Ball Arena in Game 3 tonight. The Warriors hold the series advantage 2-0, but Denver ...

Tire them out on the offensive end because if the Nuggets can increase the pace on offense, the altitude might slow Golden State down on their end. I can’t count how many times I’ve seen Denver lose sight of their man, and Golden State cuts to the rim for an easy two, or they relocate to the perimeter. If they are aggressive with their perimeter defense, drive to the rim, and have cutters sprint to the basket for help if needed. If Denver sends help, they will be dictating where the ball goes, and the rotations will follow but they must be crisp. If Denver loses tonight, they are staring down the barrel of their second sweep in two years, but if they win tonight, they capture vital confidence for Game 4. The Nuggets have played well in each first quarter of the series, but they have not been able to absorb the second-half onslaught of the Warriors. They dominated the third quarter in Game 2, outscoring Denver by 14, so look for a different intensity out of this group in the second half.

Veteran Jeff Green makes NBA history while holding the Nuggets ... (The Denver Post)

I’ve been doing it in a very productive way in order for whatever team I’m on to make the playoffs. In a series where he’s struggled to make a dent, he knows he needs to be more impactful. … I’ve adapted to every situation, and I’ve done whatever it takes to help my team out.” In Game 1, Green became the first player in league history to play for eight different playoff teams in his career. It was their composure and pride — signals to the Warriors that they were still a cohesive unit — that carried far more weight. It means that I do whatever it takes to help my team out.
