Tank Street closed from Sam Davis Road to Lowry Street, and Highpoint Drive closed. In Montgomery County, numerous trees and power lines were blown down on Marion Street and in the St. Bethlehem area. As of 5:30 a.m. Thursday, nearly 1,400 customers were still without power.

Forecasters said severe thunderstorms in southeast Indiana are moving northeast at 45 miles per hour. It includes Breckinridge, Bullitt, Grayson, Hardin, Jefferson, Meade, and Oldham counties in Kentucky. Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely. Expect considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles. Damaging winds are the primary threat but tornados cannot be ruled out. In Louisville, wind gusts of 80 mph and quarter-size hail are possible.
