Gary’s Brewery and Biergarten is a hike from downtown but offers an extremely lively setting on its 2.5 acres of land. In addition to the beer, you’ll find tons of fun events like trivia nights and roast battles. Walking into the brewery, the first thing you'll likely notice is the number of board games laying about to keep you and your friends entertained while you enjoy what's on tap. Alga is a name many local beer aficionados may have already been aware of because the three-man team behind the concept have been represented at nearly every beer-related event and festival in Northwest Florida before they were finally able to secure a brick-and-mortar space. Its menu focuses on ales, porters and stouts, all of which are brewed on-premise in the traditional oak and copper brewery. With about 2.5 acres of space, the brewery spends a lot of time hosting fun events from volleyball to Super Soaker wars. There's no food on site, but there are over 20 beers on tap in addition to its wine and cider. It's a funny thing because McGuire's is actually the oldest craft brewery in Florida - established in 1988. You'll find a good variety of beer on tap such as the Hazy Sky Wire Neipa, Intercoastal Amber Ale and more. Stepping a bit away from the IPA-heavy trend that abounds in Pensacola, Odd Colony offers up more selections that focus on lagerbier and saisons, though you can find your IPAs, too. Located in downtown Pensacola, the brewery is rooted in history. With an always-rotating cast of beers and lively events, there's always a reason to stop by Perfect Plain and see what's new.

This Thursday, April 7, is National Beer Day, which coincides with the delayed opening of the Major League Baseball season. A pretty good day, right?

With its Austin roots and unique twist on flavors and styles, it’s no wonder the Aaron Franklin- and Tyson Cole-led spot is bringing something unexpected to town for National Beer Day. On Thursday, beers from Austin’s Meanwhile Brewing will take over Loro’s taps. This is another great Dallas brewery with a fun weekly taproom event. April 7 is a highly significant date in American history for those of who like to tip back a bottle of the good stuff. For National Beer Day, Heritage offers $2 off any of its 40 draft beers. It’s worth sipping a pint or two on this date each year, if for no other reason than to toast those poor souls from a century ago who didn’t have the freedom to crack open a cold one.
