Gunna Brings Out Future for 'Pushin P' During His 'Saturday Night ... (Billboard)

Gunna performed "Pushin P" alongside Future during his "Saturday Night Live" debut on April 2.

For his second performance, Gunna enlisted Future for their popular Drip Season 4Ever track “Pushin P,” which also features Young Thug, who did not make an appearance. The star-studded release features guest appearances by 21 Savage, Chris Brown, Lil Baby and Roddy Ricch, among others. Gunna made his Saturday Night Live debut on April 2, recruiting Future for a laser-filled performance of their collaborative track “Pushin P.”

The rapper also performed his new single "Banking on Me" during his first appearance on Saturday Night Live this weekend.

"You can also just use it in other ways like, 'I ain't like how he did that. The rapper started by sitting on top of a large safe before moving over to his mic stand, where he finished the song. "Pushin' P" has been particularly popular after the album's release, becoming Gunna's first single to become RIAA-certified Gold on March 15.

The Atlanta rappers introduced the world to their new slang in a smooth performance filled with laser lights and fog.

“P don’t just mean Playa, P also mean paper too,” he said. For their TV performance of the track, though, Future and Gunna kept it fairly PG, decked out in their usual designer swag, and slowly swaying while they rapped through swirling fog and a tumultuous laser light show. “You could be pushing this P with paper too.”

“Yall n****s better drop soon cuz I’m this summer,” the rapper wrote on Instagram. The project narrowly beat out The Weeknd’s Dawn FM album, which ended up debuting in the No. 2 spot. Speaking of debuts, Jerrod Carmichael hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time.

During last night’s episode of SNL, Gunna teamed up with Pete Davidson, Simon Rex (aka Dirt Nasty), and Chris Redd for a rap about “short-ass movies.” The group gave quick reactions to short films like The Lion King and Austin Powers while joking about longer ones like Amadeus, Once Upon A Time In America and Heat. Elsewhere in the sketch, Davidson goes to see the new three-hour Batman movie and ends up pissing his pants.

Towards the end, Davidson makes an argument that calls into question why Sex and The City 2 was longer than Jurassic Park taking into consideration what each film is about. For Davidson, the perfect film is “at most 1 hour 40”, and to illustrate his point, he gives a couple of famous examples like the 1989 comedy-drama Driving Miss Daisy. The skit titled “Short-Ass Movies” is the perfect song to annoy that one pretentious cinema-obsessed friend who always takes things too seriously.
