Playing against an eventual No. 2 seed in the 2022 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, Wesley hit the game-winning shot against Kentucky, beginning a run that led the Irish to be one of the more consistent teams in the country. Their season would end in the Round of 32 at the hands of the Texas Tech Red Raiders, but based on those players from this year’s team that have eligibility left, and a strong recruiting class coming in, the Irish are poised to make a serious run next season. Their strong play began once coach Mike Brey put true freshman Blake Wesley into the starting lineup, and he rewarded his coach in a big way in his first start.

Right now we don't believe Elzy is in the "top group" of receivers Notre Dame is pushing for. Hanafin seems to want to take his time in order to make the right decision, and Notre Dame has been supportive of that so far. Notre Dame has more work to do with Greathouse than it does the above three receivers, but Stuckey, Rees and Bowden have done a tremendous job getting them in the game so far. He's talked about getting on campus but at this time that has yet to materialize, and as of now no visit date is scheduled, at least not to our knowledge. One is that Flores is an excellent student and values the academic piece. The Irish receivers coach has worked hard to build a connection with Tate and his mother, and that's the key for Notre Dame. At this point it sounds like Notre Dame just wants him in the class and will figure out the position aspect later as the rest of the class shapes up. Gallagher has been focused on basketball until this past week, but with the hoops season over he now plans to start setting up visits. Greathouse has already scheduled two visits to Notre Dame, which shows the impact the staff has made thus far. Notre Dame enters the 2023 recruiting cycle in a very precarious situation when it comes to the wide receiver position. The staff confirmed that as being a strength for the program coming into the visit, but the visit also was vital to show him the football fit. LSU, Stanford, Texas A&M and Texas are among several schools still pushing hard, but the Irish could be very, very tough to beat at this point.

She can score in a variety of ways. Baranczyk and Niele Ivey take the places of Sherri Coale and Muffet McGraw on the sidelines. Vann, who was limited in practice all week after a scary fall in the Big 12 Tournament semifinals against Baylor, played a huge factor as well. They're very physical, and they play well with each other. Two years later, OU avenged the loss, punching its ticket to the 2010 Elite 8 in a 77-72 overtime contest. They play well in transition.

Head coach Niele Ivey, who played for McGraw got the Irish back to the tournament with a turnaround reminiscent of the one at Kansas. The Irish have won 13 more games than a year ago. Notre Dame: The Irish went through some transition with the retirement of Muffet McGraw entering the 2020-21 season. The Sooners haven’t been to the Sweet 16 in a long time, and if first-year coach Jennie Baranczyk could pull that off, well, perhaps a raise is in order? With Vann helping off the bench and Tot adding 10 points, the Sooners had four players in double figures. It was also the second time an Irish player accomplished the feat in the NCAAs (Skylar Diggins-Smith did it against Maryland back in 2012). Miles also became the third Irish player to record multiple triple-doubles and the second to do it in the same season. She and Williams came up clutch in a game the Sooners controlled but couldn’t run away with.
