The 2022 NFL offseason is officially upon us. Several big-name quarterbacks found new homes ahead of the kickoff of the legal tampering period Monday, ...
Somehow, they didn't just get Tom Brady back from retirement, but also found a way to keep the anchor of his line and their top young cover man. Uzomah is a nice pass-catching addition for Zach Wilson, and Tomlinson helps beef up the line. The Saints made quick work of replacing Marcus Williams, who inked a long-term deal with the Ravens in free agency. Ryan is another Band-Aid at QB, but he at least offers good value via trade; Indy essentially flipped Carson Wentz for the longtime Falcons QB and a third-rounder. A-Rob is their latest luxury addition out wide, allowing them to roll into 2022 with one of the NFL's best/deepest pass-catching groups, with or without a new deal for Odell Beckham Jr. Retaining Aaron Rodgers was the biggest move of the offseason, even if the QB wasn't technically a free agent. The Browns get a clear upgrade at QB by slotting in Watson over Baker Mayfield, but this move comes with major risks. They were betting big on DT Larry Ogunjobi's continued development, committing $13.5M per year to the ex-Bengals starter before a failed physical killed the deal. Woods, meanwhile, brings experience to the back end of the defense at a reasonable price. Moses gives them quality insurance up front to protect Lamar Jackson. And Pierce is exactly the kind of reunion they needed on defense, especially after the Za'Darius Smith deal fell through. Hayward gives them a quality starting corner for a reasonable price, but their offense is sorely lacking. Arizona went all in on older and/or injury-prone veterans a year ago, but it'd be nice to see the team go a little greener if its gonna spend big money.
The original series starred Kyle Chandler as a guy who got tomorrow's newspaper today.
The Early Edition reboot is being headed up by Melissa Glenn, whose last big credit was a writing/producing role on CBS’s Zoo, the TV show in which all animals fight all human beings. Wait, no: Eve will actually be gifted a copy of tomorrow’s newspaper today, much as Kyle Chandler was lo so many years before, and thus get stuck trying to figure out how to prevent all the tragedies that crop up on the front page. Alice Eve has signed on to star in the pilot for CBS’s upcoming revival of ’90s supernatural drama Early Edition, in which she’ll be tasked with the seemingly fantastical responsibility of trying to explain to people in 2022 what a newspaper is.
Some COVID restrictions are now being eased. States have begun lifting mask mandates, and most Americans don't think their state should have a mask mandate in ...
This personal impact has been felt most among those most concerned about the virus. Overall, we can see the recent change in assessments of efforts to combat the virus and concern about it, which have tended to track with case numbers. Those who support a mask mandate are particularly likely to say the pandemic is still going. As concern has somewhat lessened, more feel comfortable venturing out to public places like restaurants, gathering with friends and getting on an airplane than they did a year ago. Two years in, Americans' concern about COVID-19 has dropped to its lowest level since the CBS News poll started tracking it in the spring of 2020, but they aren't ready to say the pandemic is over. People are now more optimistic about the coronavirus situation, but relatively few consider it to be over.

The "Belgravia" star will play a journalist who glimpses the future when she starts receiving the next day's newspaper.
Like Chandler’s Gary Hobson, Eve’s Beth finds herself wrestling with a major ethical dilemma when she begins receiving tomorrow’s headlines the day before they happen. “Early Edition” is a reboot of the television series of the same name, starring Kyle Chandler, Shanesia Davis and Fisher Stevens. The drama ran on CBS from 1996-2000, for four seasons. Most recently, Eve featured in the action-comedy “Freelance” starring John Cena and Alison Brie and horror film “The Queen Mary.” She starred in Julian Fellowes’ EPIX miniseries “Belgravia” and also earned credits on “Black Mirror,” “Star Trek Into Darkness” and “Entourage.” Her next appearance will be in the Amazon drama series “Power.”

In addition to Belgravia, Eve’s small-screen credits include roles on Iron Fist, Entourage and Prime Video’s upcoming adaptation of Naomi Alderman’s novel The Power. The new Early Edition hails from Hawaii Five-0 and Zoo scribe Melissa Glenn, and original series EPs DeVon Franklin and Bob Brush, and centers on “an ambitious but uncompromising journalist who starts receiving tomorrow’s newspaper today, [then] finds herself in the complicated business of changing the news instead of reporting it,” per the pilot’s official logline. The Belgravia actress has been tapped to lead the pilot of CBS’ gender-swapped Early Edition reboot, our sister site Deadline reports.
