Elden Ring's latest patch changes two abilities — Hoarfrost Stomp and Mimic Tear Ashes — making them deal significantly less damage.
It’s not yet known if the Hoarfrost Stomp nerf is significant enough for speedrunners to find an alternative or what that alternative could be. Distortion2, an Elden Ring speedrunner who beat the game in under 30 minutes, reacted to the news in a tweet. It summons a copy of the player that fights with the player’s own weapon, armor, and spells.

Patch V.103 may make your life easier -- or much harder, depending on how you play Elden Ring.
The topline nerf is to the Mimic Tear Ash, which allows you to summon a replica of yourself to fight enemies. Then, as you'd expect from a patch, is a big list of bug fixes. You can now add icons on the map for non-playable characters (NPCs) you meet, which will make several quest lines easier.
