After hosting the entire event in Indianapolis last year, and 2020’s tragically canceled tournament, the NCAA men’s basketball tournament returns to normalcy in 2022. The action will officially tip off on Tuesday, March 15, with the First Four games in Dayton, Ohio. There will be two games apiece on Tuesday and Wednesday, teeing up the full slate of first-round games on Thursday and Friday. The Sweet 16 will take place on March 24 and 25, with the Elite Eight on March 26 and 27. Teams will play the subregional and regional final rounds in arenas around the country—with fans in attendance this time—setting the stage for the type of electric environment March Madness is known for.

Michigan State men's basketball added wins over Maryland and Wisconsin to their NCAA Tournament resume in the Big Ten Tournament this weekend.

MSU was mostly listed as a 7-seed (53 times), with the breakdown including an 8-seed (17 times), a 6-seed (13 times), a 9-seed (twice) and a 10-seed (once). CBS Sports: Once again, Michigan State is listed as an 8-seed here, this time matched up with 9-seed Murray State in the East Region. The Racers are 30-2 overall this season, and would provide quite the battle for the Spartans in the first round.
