Chandler was evaluated on the bench and then went down the tunnel with UT training staff. Chandler left the game three times due to an apparent ankle injury that he initially suffered early in the first half. Tennessee basketball's Kennedy Chandler suffered an apparent ankle injury in the first half of Friday's SEC Tournament game against Mississippi State.

Tennessee defeated Mississippi State 72-59 to advance to the SEC Tournament semifinal round. He eventually returned to the court and finished with 11 points and six assists in 27 minutes.
