In a new interview with EW, Christensen and McGregor reflect on the backlash the prequels received and how it felt to be making movies that so many fans didn't seem to like. The criticism largely continued upon the release of the two subsequent installments, Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, although the latter is widely seen as the best of the three. Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor reflect on how difficult it was to experience the backlash to the three Star Wars prequels.

A ton of updates for the Obi-Wan Kenobi series have been rolling in, and the newest one is that of Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader.

One other secret that was asked of the man by EW, was if Anakin would be shown unmasked. Hayden Christensen also promises a “very powerful Darth Vader.” While we are not sure what that is going to entail, it sounds as if the Rogue One ending massacre will have to be topped.

Actually, calling them "vague" might be overselling it a bit.

That secrecy extends to what its actors can say about the series and the characters they play, which means this is everything Christensen is allowed to say about the Dark Lord of the Sith in the interview: “We’re going to see a very powerful Vader.” When asked whether Christensen might be making an appearance on the show sans helmet, the actor could only reply, “I wish I could tell you. At least we got confirmation that Rupert Friend will be playing the Grand Inquisitor, alongside yesterday’s confirmations of his fellow Inquisitorial allies: Moses Ingram as the Third Sister, Fast & Furious’ Sung Kang as the Fifth Brother, and Indira Varma an Imperial officer, thanks to the trailer that came out yesterday. It’s impossible to know, because Lucasfilm (like its sister studio Marvel) is so withholding of information about its content that the company got mad when an employee mentioned the release date of the show five days earlier than planned.
