Additionally, all of ESPN’s No. 1 seeds heading into Saturday lost their respective matchup (Gonzaga, Auburn, Arizona and Kansas). The Badgers don’t have a bad loss on their schedule. Is there anything Wisconsin can do to land on the top seed line? Purdue was a No. 2 seed before its loss to Michigan State.

Johnny Davis goes 7th in ESPN Mock Draft (unknown)

In a recent mock draft from ESPN, Wisconsin Basketball's Johnny Davis is the seventh overall selection by the New York Knicks.

Johnny Davis is the best player that Wisconsin Basketball has had in a long time. Being able to play in hostile environments is a skill that will be useful for Davis when he decides to make the jump to the next level. Davis has the lateral quickness to stay with his man and the athleticism to rise up to have good contests on shots. Probably the only reason why Davis falls out of the top-5 in this draft is because of his ball-handling. Davis began the 2021-2022 season on fire, and that’s when Badgers fans started to realize that him leaving for the NBA after this season would be a real possibility. Davis is projected to be taken 7th overall in the 2022 NBA Draft in the latest ESPN Mock Draft.

UW goes on road, beats Purdue for second time (unknown)

Brooke Schramek blocked the Boilermakers' last second shot to secure the one point win.

Following a Purdue timeout, Brooke Schramek came up with the play of the night. Krystyna Ellew hit a jumper with 1:25 remaining to give the Badgers a 61-57 lead. Purdue opened the fourth quarter on a 8-0 run to tie the game at 48. After their once 14 point lead was cut to two, UW finished the third quarter on a 6-0 run, extending the lead back to eight points. The Boilermakers were able to cut the UW lead to as few as seven with 3:24 to play in the half. Purdue responded with a 14-2 run to bring the Boilermakers within one possession.

The Badgers will finish the regular season with a 9-2 road record. As a team, the Badgers went 9 of 20 from three, the most they've made since going 10 of 22 in a road victory over Nebraska on Jan. 27. Tyler Wahl added 11 points on 4 of 5 shooting, including 1 of 1 from 3-point range. Johnny Davis led the Badgers with 19 points on 6 of 19 shooting from the field, including 1 of 3 from 3-point range. The National Player of the Year candidate scored 15 points in the second half after being held to four on 2 of 9 shooting over the first 20 minutes.

UW offers 2024 big man James Brown out of Chicago (unknown)

The 5-star St. Rita High School product is a promising prospect in the 2024 class.

Brown is only a sophomore so he obviously has a lot of room for growth. He definitely needs to tighten up his dribbling, but he could have some ability as a tertiary ball handler. He is slender, as he only weighs 210 pounds, but there is clearly room for him to add good weight once he gets to college. Recruiting is the lifeblood of any major college athletics team, but following it closely as a fan can sometimes be difficult and can often be time consuming. First, Brown has a nice, soft jumper that looks repeatable and he is confident in. According to MaxPreps, Brown is shooting a preposterous 71% (139-of-197) from the floor on the season while averaging 12.1 points per game, 10.5 rpg, 1.3 apg and 0.8 bpg.
