Get a recap of the Golden State Warriors vs. LA Clippers basketball game.

Los Angeles' largest lead was 25 in the fourth. Zubac scored six points during the spurt. “I thought this was one of our most complete of the season even with Steph getting off to the start he had,” Lue said. There was one play where Steph was bobbling the ball on the way up and made it,” Mann said. The All-Star guard hit his first six shots, including four from beyond the arc, and had 26 points in the first half on 9-of-11 shooting before going cold in the second. The third-year guard also had seven rebounds and six assists. They are only two games ahead of Memphis for second place in the Western Conference. The next possession is coming.” “We kept them out of transition. We just couldn't get any momentum at all during the game,” Curry said. Curry ended up with a game-high 33 points, including eight 3-pointers. “It felt like Steph vs.

Steph Curry, Warriors graded in loss to Clippers (Golden State of Mind)

Grading Steph Curry, Andrew Wiggins, Klay Thompson, and the Golden State Warriors in their 119-104 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

The defense, however, had itself a not very good game at all. It’s hard to grade JTA’s performance because it came rather exclusively in garbage time. With the rest of the team struggling to clean the glass, Porter grabbed a board every other minute, and made half of his shots to boot. He’d have been forgiven for having one a week all year ... In between he presumably watched an entirely different LA team play sports. "He's so dangerous, probably the most dangerous player in the league the way he can get hot... His defense, far and away the best it’s been in his career, was not good. That’s the good. He’s really learning how to make the right read at the right time, and has been responsible for the Dubs getting a lot of open looks lately. This seems like a good time for an unfortunate team stat: And unlike Kuminga, who still gets the rookie exemption, Wiggins not being a solution is, inherently, a problem. Kuminga had a few of those obscene, electrifying, terrifyingly athletic plays that we’ve come to expect from him in this game, but otherwise didn’t make his presence felt all that much.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr talks bad defense in loss vs. Clippers (Golden State of Mind)

Steve Kerr discusses his team's poor defensive showing and other takeaways from the Warriors postgame pressers following their loss against the Los Angeles ...

They are now five games behind the Phoenix Suns for the top spot in the West and only two games ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies for the 2nd seed. Despite having the Clipper’s full defensive attention, Curry was still able to score 33 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the three-point line. Golden State has a reputation as one of the best defensive teams in the league this season, however they didn’t show it on Monday as the Clippers dictated control on that side of the floor. The physical toll of small ball is beginning to show as the Warriors looked fatigue — a stark difference from the usual high-energy, stingy defense that fans are accustomed to seeing from them. Stephen Curry powered the offense in this one, but it wasn’t enough to make up for the team’s subpar performance on defense. His IQ and ability to identify the need for help, provide that help, and recover back into position wherever he is needed has been irreplaceable.

Clippers vs. Warriors: How to watch, injury report, game preview (Clips Nation)

Ty Lue now gets to tinker with a roster stocked with talented wings such as Marcus Morris Sr., Nicolas Batum, Terance Mann, Norman Powell, Robert Covington, ...

If the version of the Clippers bench that outplayed the Mavericks shows up, if the Clippers offense can fire on all cylinders, and if the Clippers defense can stay engaged and communicative all game, this game is more than winnable. The Clippers, however, have proven time and time again that they will not back down from a challenge. His resume is undeniable, and the Clippers have already experienced a full display of his shooting prowess once this season. As their record might indicate, this is one of, if not the, best team in the league. With Klay Thompson’s return to the roster, the Warriors are a handful for anyone. On Monday, to start a formidable back-to-back against the two best teams in the league, these Clippers will be tasked with another team highlighted by wing depth.
